Question about Xerox WorkCentre M15i Laser Printer

1 Answer

Printer is very slow

We use a Xerox WorkCentre M15i with windows XP. Things started as usual this morning, until we tried to print from a few of the multiple computers connected, and it refuses to do anything. All that happens is PC Printing appears in the text box. We attempted to restart it by unplugging the machine, but since it has only burnt through many sheets of paper which all have strange text on them...any suggestions?

In machine settings there is a setting for the USB port , it has a fast and slow setting.
The M15 technically is not a intended to be a network printer.
You can look into hooking it up to a pocket pro device which is a small print server.
There are other products that you can use to set up that, way.

We have a workcentre M15i connected to a vista computer. We want to print from a xp computer to the workcentre. The xp only sees the workcentre if the vista computer is turned on. How do we get the xp...

We put a usb cable from the xp computer to the workcentre. We left the Vista computer connected to the workcentre via parallel cable. Not the solution we were hoping for but it does enable us to print from both computers

Xerox WorkCentre M15i squeals when printing and copying.

Do not only lubricate metal shafts, but promptly lubricate the "pulleys" on the right and left side.  the will look very similar to a wheek and pulley mechanism.  The squeal happens when one "bar" connects two "wheels" and one side moves faster than the other.

Xerox M15 PCL6 error

I would go to the xerox website and try downloading the PCL5e driver. It works just as well and even better in most cases. I hope this helps.

Ink toner problem?

No, that is not the ink, That is a fuser problem.
The fuser needs to be replaced.
It is a very easy repacement. Cost is between 170-200 dollars if you don't have a service agreement.
One of the two rollers in the fuser has a problem and is not making good enough contact to fuse the image.
