I work for AT&T and have seen this problem on a few BlackJack II's. The way to fix it is to do a master reset on the phone. This will allow it to play again...BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR CONTACTS AND FILES BECAUSE THESE WILL BE DELETED!! Other than that, it will fix your problems!
You can reset your phone’s settings and clear all added data from memory.
Resetting the Phone
1. On the Home screen, press the Start soft key 2. Select Settings > More… > Security > More… > Reset. 3. Enter the reset password and press the Done soft key. The default password is 0000. 4. Press the Yes soft key to confirm. The phone resets and reboots itself
Sounds like you have a bad memory chip or you have non compatible file types. Did the music used to play? What program are you using to transfer music? Please get back to me. Good feedback is really appreciated. I will do everything I can to help you.
I reset the phone and the media player works now...
(turned phone off and held the up arrow up on the directinal pad while I turned it back on. Then press "1" to reset phone.)
Although I lost all my settings and contacts that were not saved to the sim card, I can listen to the media player again.
you can check if you speaker is broken by using a set of headphones. if you don't hear sound when using your headphones there is something wrong with your software settings. if you do hear sounds using your headphones you need to replace your speaker. You can buy a replacement speaker on ebay and do this yourself, of search for someone to do if for you.
If you still have warranty on your phone just return it to the shop that sold the phone.
There are 3 types of volume: master volume, in-call volume, and multi-media volume. To adjust master volume, press and hold the thumb wheel until the volume control comes up and use the wheel to adjust it. When in a call use the thumb wheel to adjust the in-call volume. Finally, use the thumb wheel to adjust the volume of multi-media while it's playing. One thing to keep in mind, the master volume will override the multi-media volume, so if you can't hear the multi-media after turning it all the way up, you might try raising the master volume fist.

When using either Windows Media Player or Windows Media Player 8 on your Pocket PC e570 you will need to program Media Player to recognise the button functionality of the Remote Control Earphones by following these steps:
Select Tools, Buttons.
Select each individual function and press the relating button on the remote control.
After all buttons have been programmed, press OK which should take you back into Media Player.
N.B. The remote control buttons will not function when playing back voice recordings as the earphones can only be used for listening in this mode.
