Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

Asko d3100 dishwasher still giving problems after replacing inlet valve. When you press the start button all of the lights come on and there is some pumping sound with a dribble of water coming through from the right hand side. When you take your finger off the start button everything stops, no lights, no pumping. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi.

To start, disconnect power and ensure that there is no water in the tub when you restart the dishwasher.

It looks like the overfill switch is preventing the machine from filling. The overfill (water level) switch is either a floater or a pressure switch. I believe that this model controls water level through a pressure switch located under the kickplate at the base of the machine.

    Thanks.

What would the pressure switch look like?

Model D3100.My dishwasher pump is on constantly.I have tried to tilt it,to stop it.l,ve tried to press the front two buttons at the same time to reset it..And nothing...!

Possible that the main program controller unit is shorted on the output drive and gives the constant power to the pump. Now detach the connections and after removing the power plug , remove the program controller and check for visible damage.
If not the controller is the suspect.

Hi,\r\n

yes you need to reset dishwasher to time fill.turn off the power button wait 10 sec, push and hold the programme and start buttons then turn power back on.hold buttons down until display lights up then release them.press programe button until 4 shows in display, then press start.test dishwasher. F4 is an inlet fault.

Asko D1716 dishwasher problem

I also have an Asko D1716 dishwasher. The water stopped flowing. I replaced the water inlet valve and I have another problem, but the replacement of the fill valve is now letting in water. You can call Asko at 1-800-898-1879 to order the parts. If you order from Asko, I'm told you have some warranty on the parts. Anyway, the screws take a star drive and there is a front plate and back plate you will need to remove. There are approx. 4 screws on the front and 4 screws on the back. Just remember to unplug it before starting any work. The fill valve is in front of the machine. There are 2 screws holding it in place from the front. You will need to remove it out the back though to replace it since the fill tube to the tub is short and it wont allow you to pull it out the front. The repair is really easy once you get started.

Hope this helps,

Remove the lower panel at the back of the machine. If there is water on the bottom pan, wipe it up with a towel or so, and the machine schould be like new again ;-)

Good luck

Try to find out from where water leaking from (pump or inlet valve). The leaking one, should be replaced. Good luck !

Dishwasher fault

I got this with another dishwasher. On that one it meant the water wasn't feeding into it (tap switched off, kink in inlet tube, etc.)
