How to repair cracks in concrete floors of house and how to make them waterproof

simply chip the conrete cracked maybe up to 3cm wide and 2-3 cm deep the whole way and clean thoroughlly with water and the best is to blow air after you wash with water to take away the loose debris then apply concrete epoxy arround the cracks with clean paint brush # 1-2 let it stay for about 30mins and you feel the epoxy is starting to set before then pour the conrete mix with fine sand that will do the trick.

What speed would i need to set my cordless drill at to put hole in wall

Your drill will drill a hole at any speed, the drill bit needs to be sharp to drill the mateirial. The type of wall material is important.Drywall is soft but a masonry bit should be used.A masonry bit has a flat bar accross the point and slower speeds are best.Wood walls / studs you need wood bits that are sharper and medium to high speeds are used.Concrete or Block walls again require Masonry bits.If very hard concrete as in foundation walls or filled block the use of a Hammer drill will work much faster.Good Luck

I have drilled a 1 inch hole in my concrete basement wall. I cannot release the bit from the drill. The chuck won't turn by hand to release the bit.

Good Afternoon, Ladooudep55:

I hope you have got your bit back, but if not, remount the drill chuch onto the bit, and drill in forward without pushing the bit. If it still won't move, You can gently wobble the drill to enlarge the hole and retrieve the bit.

The other method is alternating light hammer taps with compressed air. It will make lots of grit dust.

If the hole around the bit is wet, you may have drilled into an iron pipe, if it smells it was the sewer drain. You will have to decide if you want to replace the pipe section or run an epoxy patch once you have retrieved the bit.

Drill chuck is frozen

You may try to put a thick soft metal pipe (aluminium or copper) over the drill bit (longer than the bit itself by ~10 mm) so it will touch the chuck's jaws, then GENTLY hit the other end of the pipe with a hammer several times, holding the pipe a bit askew, thus trying to disengage the jaws from the lock in their thread, and try to loosen the chuck after each series of hits. Just be careful with your fingers, and better hold the drill by the chuck while hammering it - so the hits won't go to the transmission unit (sorry for description - hope it's understandable, if not - ask for clafication from me)
