Question about Sony PlayStation (PS) Console
I've posted this before and so have other owners cleaning the disc does not make the game work. i need to know what to do because it seems as though the game is not spinning to be read.
would someone that knows whether it would be worth it to take to the shop please answer this question.
I beleave you can use a key or similiar to press down the switch which the cover presses down when its closed.
That should make the playstation think that the cover is closed and start to read the disk after you power it on. there you could see if it spins it or not.
If it doesnt spin even if the cover is closed then I supose some repairs need to be done.
I'm not sure if its worth it.
heres one being sold for less than 20 usd
I think it might be cheaper to buy a working one instead of replaceing the parts, the mechanic probably charges 20 alone for the work.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
