Question about Heating & Cooling
If someone replaced the rear unit with an a/c older than 1995 it is a possibility but I think they are feeding you some bull. Are you in Indiana?I found a link to Four Winds home website which is in Indiana.I would call them to find out.If you are in Indiana,I would call a dealer in another state. In 1995,they changed the freon from R-12 to R-134 so it should not be an issue unless it requires some lead-based Chinese freon or something like that(lol). It was well phased out by 2000.If it was replaced with the older freon system,I would say the dealer most likely did it and SHOULD be responsible.Did you buy this new or used? All a/c sytems work on the same basic parts but to hear a different freon set-up?I have never heard that one.Anyhow here is the link.Good luck and Travel on!Also as far as i know, with an even newer freon that came out/is coming out, there are only 3 different ones right now and the one before 1995's is not even manufactured anymore,so that still leaves 2.
