Question about Flat Panel Televisions

Crt 4:3 to a 16:9

This may sound stupid but i'll give a reason after i ask you this, can i adjust a 4:3 crt monitor height and stuff, to a smaller 16:9, the thing is i have 2 hd lcd tv's and a old crt monitor and the crt monitor looks so much better than the lcd, its just i have a ps3 and it only outputs 16:9 in hd settings.

If your CRT Monitor has a DVI input you can certainly get HDMI to DVI adaptors (Maplin etc) but if the monitor is Analogue as I suspect you will need to find a Digital to Analogue converter. The problem here is that HDMI is copy protected and any analogue outputs must be disabled when HDMI is selected to prevent coping. I am assuming this also applies to your PS3 !!!!

I do agree with you about picture quality. I have a Samsung 21" CRT monitor which has a pixel size of 0.2 and is far superior to even the best LCD.
