Go to start and choose search ...in the all files area make a search for a file named exactly like thi s..... WgaLogon.dll Just copy and paste the exact name of this file in the search feature and ..when you find it ...just click right on it and rename it ..by changing a letter ...for example WgaLogton.dll if you observe I inserted a T in the name of the file ...
after the renaming ..just restart your computer ..and the banner with the genuine verification will get away ..
In this point all you have to do is place a new wallpaper cause that banner removed the original one ...and that is all you have to do ...In the future..try to find and use a genuine windows on the next installation ..If you need a genuine windows Xp ..you can find one Here ..
http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5388204/Windows_Xp_Genuine
all you need is a torrent client software to download it ..and Nero software to burn it in a boot-able disk ..
If you already have a boot-able disk with windows xp...all you need is to use the cd key in that link ...and the installation will behave like the genuine on e..

My compter be a victim of sotfware couterfeiting

Did you just purchase the computer, and it had Windows XP Professional "pre-installed"?
If so, the store that sold you the computer may have used a "counterfeit" copy of Windows, rather than using a "genuine" copy of Windows (which only cost them about $100).

Or, did you recently take the computer to a computer-store, for repair (such as after having a computer-virus), and did they reinstall Windows, again using "counterfeit" software?

Or, did a "friend" install Windows XP, using "counterfeit" software?

My computer shows "you may be a victim of software

you have to uninstall windows and office for your convenience and to remove that piracy warning. after reinstalling your software, DO NOT register your copy of windows nor your office online for the serial key may be blocked or blacklisted.

Victim of software counterfeiting how to rectify it

Incase you are a victim of counterfeit product of Microsoft then :-
  1. Purchase a valid Windows XP cd-key online from Microsoft.
  2. If you can produce high-quality counterfeit media, along with a proof of purchase, you can get a free replacement key from Microsoft.
  3. Contact your reseller for redress.
  4. Purchase Windows XP from a local OEM reseller.
  5. Purchase Windows XP at a retail location.
Notice the word "Purchase" appears in three of those five options. There's almost no way to finagle a free cd-key out of this.
Counterfeit software can come from a number of sources. It's important to use a reputable reseller when purchasing software or PCs that come with software.
And, now the good part :-
Microsoft also offers several options to help victims of counterfeit software obtain a legal copy of Windows, including a complimentary offer for victims who were deceived into buying highy quality counterfeit copies
To help customers who unknowingly purchased a counterfeit version of Windows XP, Microsoft has created two genuine Windows offers for those who qualify:
  • Complimentary offer: Microsoft will make a complimentary copy of Windows XP available to customers who have been sold counterfeit Windows. Customers will be required to submit a proof of purchase, the counterfeit CD, and a counterfeit report with details of their purchase. Only high-quality counterfeit Windows will qualify for the complimentary offer.
  • Electronic License Key Offer: Microsoft will offer an alternative for customers who find out via the WGA validation process that they are not running genuine Windows, but do not qualify for, or choose not to take advantage of, the complimentary offer. These customers will be able to license a Windows Genuine Advantage Kit for Windows XP directly from Microsoft for a special on-line purchase price. The Windows Genuine Advantage Kit for Windows XP will include a new 25-character Product Key and a Windows Product Key Update tool that will allow customers to convert their counterfeit copy to genuine Windows XP electronically.

HI,

That message ("you may be a victim of software counterfeiting") is displayed when your Windows serial number is being used by someone else. If your copy of Windows is legitimate, try contacting Microsoft support.

Take care,

What ever you do,don't waste you time and get talked into by microsuc to pay twice for a key then what you can buy a legit copy for. But make sure you buy one. Just because gates is the richest
man in the world for there underhanded ways, and locking you into problems. Kinda of like thieves. Now just because there are a thousand company's who's founder should have 4 times the money then gates does, but don't because they where human and not thieves and steal ideas just to get rich. Still means that you need to buy a few computers because if the mobo breaks and you don't get it replaced with the same exact one you have to buy it again.

Its too bad that a company like ford that built this country, didn't
act like micro, then they would be 1000 times richer then gates.
Instead of going out of business and people with no jobs.
