Hi,

the antena symbol normally shows it is within range of the base unit.
Flashes when out of range.

Thanx

Do I need a TV Technician for NoSignal sign on digital TV ?

You need to check the aerial is still giving a signal and the leads are plugged in correctly. If they are and the signal is there then yes.

You better be sure where you're plugging that antenna and that it isn't electrically 'hot'.

I have no signal, and the signal and power lights flash simutaneously and it makes a small sound through the tv when it does flash and I cant seem to do anything to stop it.

I would be checking the follo9wing:

1) Your antenna is still up on the roof or wherever it was installed.
2) you can see the cable up to the antrenna
3) the antenna at the set end of the plug has not become disconnected or loose from the coax.
4) that the coax has not been eaten by mice or severed somehow in the cavity or the roof.

To check this get a rollo of coax ( unless you have a signal meter) and connect it to the antenna terminals Run it down the outside and up to your TV bare the coax and apply a plug and connect to see if there is now a signal.
That should indicate whether you have a broken connection or not.

Thanks for using FIXYA

HOW TO HOOK UP A ANTENNAE

Hi there,

Well you can follow the below steps -
1. Inspect the antenna for any signs of damage. Identify and examine the power adapter cord and the coaxial antenna cable for any rips tears or other defects.
2. Plug the adapter into the antenna's power adapter socket. It will be labeled "12V DC/Adapter". If you are using an antenna that does not require power, such as rabbit ears, you may skip this step.
3. Next connect the antenna cable to the television using the TV's "Antenna In/75 Ohm" input jack. Make sure the antenna connector is twisted tightly into place. Place the antenna on a sturdy surface such as the top of an entertainment center. If you have an older analog TV that is a non high definition ready/capable display and are using a digital to analog converter box, generally, the antenna will plug into the input of the converter and the output of the converter will plug into the antenna input of your TV.
4. Plug the antenna's power supply into a 120V AC wall outlet. This will turn the antenna on. If you are using the "rabbit ears" style antenna, make sure that the each section of the antenna is fully extended. This will give you the best reception.
5. Turn on the TV and check for digital reception. You will know that you are receiving digital signals because the picture will be clear and free of any analog "snow" or other artifacts. Digital TV channels have DVD quality picture and sound.

I can't reset my Atomic Traveling Alarm Clock C17DD2090(WIC#6930

First, make sure you have new batteries in it. Then you have two choices:

Hold down the 3rd button -- the antenna button -- until the little antenna sign displayed on the right starts blinking and "broadcasting"...and then wait for the clock to set itself.

When that doesn't work (LOL), try this:
Hold down the "Set" button until each of the various fields start blinking. Then press the up button (3rd one) or the down button (4th one) to adjust each field to the desired number, etc. At least, that's what my office technician did to set mine. Good luck.

With either car having the garmin plugged in, it still does not work

By doesn't work, do you mean it doesn't show any signs of power, or do you mean it won't get a fix?

Fresh out of the box, (or if it was last powered up in another country) you may need to let the antenna sit outside the vehicle, with a good view of the sky - like a mall parking lot - for up to 12 minutes or more. If there is an option to turn the antenna on or off (demo mode for in-store display), you'll want to make sure your antenna is enabled.

I believe the antenna on that model is a "smart" antenna, which means that the receiver is in the antenna, not in the display, and it is connected to the back of the display with a multi pin plug that provides power and data link to the antenna.

If the antenn is mounted directly in the path of a RADAR beam from a RADAR antenna on your boat, the antenna will not acquire satellites while the RADAR is on.

More likely you have a bad connection:
1) remove the display from its mount
2)gently tug on the GPS cable to see if it comes off without twisting. If it comes off make sure it is aligned, push it back on twist the locking ring and try again.
3) if GPS plug is properly installed and unit doesn't work, remove the plug and and check the pin holes for corrosion, also check the socket in the back of the display for damaged or missing pins. Anything that interrupts power or data will cause the antenna to stop working. If there are no obvious signs of corrosion or damage, then the problem is most likely in the antenna processor. If you have access to another antenna, or if you know somebody who has any model Lowrance with the same plug on their GPS try running your display on their antenna. If it works elsewhere then you need a new antenna, which is probably just as cheap to buy new as to have repaired. If it doesn't work then you probably need to remove the display and antenna and send it out for service.
4) Before you send it out there is a slight possibilty that the problem lies in your display processor. Make sure you have the latest software update in your display. The software version should appear on the display when you first start it up. Click here to compare your version to the most current version available. If your software is not current, download it to a blank data card, place the data card in your chart slot, and turn on the display. The screen will prompt you on what to do next. If that doesn't work then repair or replacement is your only option.

I hope this helps, please contact me if you have any questions , or if you decide to replace it I'll be happy to offer advice about new models.
