Try a new registry utility. I recommend "Glary Utilities" from glarysoft. Free for personal users and I've personally installed it on over 50 different computers and have had it on my computer in many different versions for 8 years now.
http://www.glaryutilities.com/

p.s. the pro version's basically only contains the ability to schedule the utility to run automatically, so go with the free one.

Try to limit playing with the registry if you have a problem with your pc then by all means try a registry repair kit
2 i use are uniblue registry booster (paid) and ccleaner (freeware) both are trust worthy and will not delete files your computer may need unlike glary.
the choice is yours,
good luck.

Laptop runs slow

A slow computer could be caused by a number of things - 1. Insufficient RAM (memory) - if your computer has less than 512Mb of RAM then increase it to at least 1Gb of RAM. 2. Registry problems - clean and repair the registry, it will contain unused registry keys. Use programs such as Registry Mechanic, Microsoft RegClean etc. 3. Uninstall/remove unused programs, this will also free up hard disk space. 4. Not enough hard disk space - swap file space may need to be increased if Windows hasn't been configured to manage it. 5. Install latest Windows updates. 6. Update virus definition files and scan computer for viruses, Trojans, malware etc. 7. Clear the Internet cache for faster browsing. 8. Hard disk maintenance is required at least once a month to keep it functioning efficiently. Run the following programs - Disk Cleanup - removes temporary files that are no longer used and to recovers hard disk space. Disk Defragmenter to make fragmented files into contiguous files and therefore the hard disk access is faster.

She gets an error message when booting up:: Fail to load language file

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. Go to Startup tab and uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running.
This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but only when you initiate.

If this fails, even though this should fix it, download CCleaner (free) and clean your Windows Registry.

Error 1402.Setup cannot open the registry kaey. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID\{7EA9A8FA-F5D2-49E1-99E8-C26EE07FCEEB}\LocalServer32.

The first thing you should do to fix this error is - if you're using Windows 98 or 2000 - to use the 'registry checker' facility. This is done by loading up the "Run Console" with CTRL + R and then typing "registry checker". If the registry is intact then this will not be a problem. On later versions of Windows, you should use a 'registry cleaner' program to perform this task.

If you have XP, Vista or Windows 7, you should first download a registry cleaner from the Internet and let that scan your system. It will look for any registry errors on your PC and then fix them, which should fix the 1402 error in the process. To use one of these, you need to download a registry scanner program and then let it scan your PC. It will identify all the damaged parts of Windows and should fix them. And if one of these registry errors is causing the 1402 error then a quick restart after the registry scan should enable you to install Office or the program you wanted.

If that method did not work, you should try using a different user account, or creating a new user account, to install the program onto. It's often the case that user accounts will become corrupted for whatever reason, blocking access to the registry. This causes the 1402 error because it means that the program cannot access the files and settings it needs to create when it's being installed. You should try creating a new administrator account and then installing the program on that.

Have you every run Windows update recently?

Is this the first time you install this software?

Well. there are two ways, first and foremost, don't just grab anhy program that promises to clean your PC (99.99999% are spyware/adware).

Second, remove whatever disc in is your CD Drive (it has an autorun file which this program cannot deal with).

Problems opening links in Outlook 2003

The most common cause is a corrupt registry key in Internet Explorer. The registry key found at
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Classes\htmlfile\shell\open\command
is either damaged or corrupt.
To fix it, try resetting Web settings in Internet Explorer. If this does not resolve the issue, set IE as
the default browser.
To Reset Web settings:
Internet Explorer 6
Start Internet Explorer 6.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab, and then click the Reset Web Settings button.
Under Internet programs, verify that the correct e-mail program is selected.
Click to select the Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser check box.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
You may receive the following message when Internet Explorer starts:
Internet Explorer is not currently your default browser. Would you like to make it your default browser?
If you receive the message, click Yes.
Internet Explorer 7
Start Internet Explorer 7.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
Click the Programs tab, and then click Set programs.
Click Set Default Programs.
Click to select Microsoft Outlook, and then click Set this program as default.
Click OK, and then close the Default Programs dialog box.
In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Programs tab, and then click Make default under Default web browser.
Click OK.

Quit the Registry Editor.

Tap the F8 key on boot to get to the boot option screen that will allow you to select "Safe Mode", then select your operating system, then click yes on the pop up. Once in safe mode locate your Anti Virus program in your program folder and run the full/complete scan and that should fix you up.
