Top link, is for a DIY self help dishwasher repair site, below that is your self help manual, for troubleshooting and repair.

Often this is cause by a frozen inlet solenoid, they need to be removed and dissembled and soaked in penetrating oil for a while, then given a few whacks with a hard surface to free them. But go through the troubleshooting steps to be sure. As it also can be many other things too.

OUR KENMORE DISHWASHER MODEL #665.15912000 TIMER STALLS AT 43 MINUTES FOR AS LONG AS 30 MINUTES, AND THEN PROCEDES. OTHERWISE, EVERYTHING WORKS, AND THE DISHES COME OUT CLEAN.

Hello,

Your dishwasher is stalling while the water heats on the rinse cycle if the water is very hot the thermostat that must be satisfied for the water to reach the correct temp. is weak and it needs replacing. Or if the heat element is full of build up on the outside of it,it's taking so long to heat to temp.
this links shows the t-stat in item # 30 http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Dishwasher-Parts/Model-66515912000/0582/0130000/P0303177/00007?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=66515912000

I hope this helps

Kenmore Model 16798 dishwasher: no incoming water throughout entire cycle

Hello there
The solenoid is just a valve. Only it operates electrically.

Check to be sure you are getting water to the valve. Turn off water,
disconnect water supply from solenoid valve, place line in bucket, turn on
water slowly.

Does water come out?

If yes, then reconnect water and check other side of valve. Disconnect
connection on other side of solenoid valve. Does water come out when you
cycle dishwasher?

Could be a problem with plugged water tubes. All sorts of junk comes out of
water lines.

Also if you have a manual valve on the wall for line going to dishwasher,
the line could be plugged at this valve. Turning it off/on several times or
backflushing might clear the plug.

Recently ran well low - no dishwasher not filling

Yes there is a screen in the water valve of the dishwasher. you'll have to shut off to the water line coming in to the dishwasher and disconnect the water line. then take off the water valve to get to the screen. you could have a stopped up screen or a bad solenoid switch on the valve.if you know how to use an ohm meter you can check the solenoid for continuity.

it is better to just replace the valve than to try to take the water valve apart and clean it.

you will want to check the float switch first before you do any of the above.

Kenmore dishwasher model 665

check for a clog at the water valve under the dishwasher.Remove lower panel of D/W(dishwasher)Shut off power supply to D/W.Remove the water supply line from your water valve(its most likely mounted underneath to the left side of frame. After removing this ,very slowely turn water back on just enough to determine if you have a clogged line. Let me know when you are there.

Kenmore 17245 won't drain.

Try blowing into the drain line with a wet/dry vac. This sometimes removes clogs. Otherwise, hold the hose above the unit and fill it with water. If there is no clog the water should appear at the bottom of the dishwasher after a few quarts.
