Check to ensure the outdoor unit is running. If it is running, have it checked as there may be a problem. If it is not running, check your breakers first and move on from there.

Also, check all filters and ensure the unit is not frozen up anywhere as this will negatively affect its performance as well.

Air conditioning bowing but not cold air what to do

You can check your outdoor unit to see if its working. If not, check the breaker(s). If your t-stat takes batteries try changing them. That may be near dead but still have enough power to communicate with the indoor unit but not the outdoor. Make sure its set to cool and the temp is turned down. Check your air filter. If you found no problems so far you can turn the cooling to the off position and wait 5 mins then try it again. If its overheated for some reason it may take a few hours to cool. You could try leaving it off for a few hours. If nothing changed then call a tech. It may be minor or major but with limited info its tough.

Are trailer is only a couple of years old and we have only used it a few times - twice when we have used it we left the air conditioning running and left the trailer for a few hours and come back and it is...

Here is what happening . This has nothing to do with you having it on while you stepped out for a few hours. The unit needs to be cleaned/ filters/screens/fins/coils. This problem would of happened even if you were in the trailer as it was running. The issue is after a while, sense it needs to be cleaned it loads up and then starts to freeze and then once it starts to freeze coils etc... it then starts only blowing warm air. When you turned it off, and let it set for a while, reason it started working again, is because the ice that built up defrosted some to have unit operate proper again. Solution is to clean the unit good. Thanks Mike from fixya.

My coleman mach air conditioner will blow cold air for around 4-5 hours then air is no longer cold? I could turn it off for a few hours and it will blow cold air again? what could be my problem?

sounds like the compressor is going in to overload this is a protection if it gets to hot make sure your condenser fan motor is working properly and that your condenser coil is clean I would rinse it out anyway to make sure. when you shut it down you are allowing the compressor time to cool down and it restarts but you have a high pressure head problem .

Freezer side is working fine. the fridge side appears not to be as cold as it use to be. a few days ago my kid left the door ajar all night. how ever it should be cold by now. there is power I can hearthe...

When a refrigerator door is left open the freezer will continue to run to keep it cold and since it can't cool an open area it will freeze up on the inside, to resolve this you will need to unplug the fridge and open the freezer door and allow the freezer to thaw completely, once it is thawed you can plug it back in and everything should go back to normal after a 24 hour period

My 1998 MB E 320 will blow cool air for 5 minutes the later on just regular air not cool, recharge with freon but still the same whats wrong?

If it needs recharging within a few hours or days the system has a bad leak.

The Mercedes compressor has a speed sensor in the back of it.
If this fails the compressor shuts off.

Other problems with this system are many, so run check on this first.

Refrigerator is not cold

Hi Louis,

This is what has happened. Due to the door being opened for so long moisture which is naturally in the air has collected on your freezer coils. What you need to do is turn the whole thing off for at least 24 hours. Open the doors and put some towels around it to let the frost melt out.
All the air that gets cooled in your unit gets cooled by a fan that pulls air through those coils. Once the frost has melted out of them it should cool just fine.

We move my refrigerator and it was laid down for about 2 hours we plug it up when we got home now it won't get cold, how long will it take to start getting cold it been about 2 days now

It shuld never be layed down for transport or storage. 2 Hours is not a long time but you should have left it upright overnight before plugging in. turn it off for 24 hours. When you restart it it should be cooling in a few hours and at normal temp in 24-48. If not you may have damaged the compressor. (Assuming you hear it running)
