If its a reversible drill there will be a screw in the bottom of the chuck, open the jaws as far as they will go and you should see a screw head, it is a left hand thread so put the drill in low speed selector this will stop chuck turning as easily, then turn screw clockwise as your looking at the chuck, when its out put an allen key in and tighten up the chuck hit with hammer now in a anti clockwise direction it should unscrew. repeat in the reverse procedure to fit new chuck....

Open the chuck and remove the screw inside the chuck (if fitted) the screw is left hand thread, fit the short end of the largest hex key that will fit into the chuck and tighten the chuck, put the drill into low gear and turn the clutch to the drill position, support the drill on a bench and strike the long end of the hex key with a firm blow (right hand thread) it may be neccessary to strike it more than once

Change the chuck on a makita DA39DA coredlesss right angle drill

look inside the chuck for a screw. it will be a left handed screw.once you get the screw out put the chuck in a vice . you will need to squeeze it very tight. then put the drill in reverse and pull the trigger.if i wont come off you will need to hit the chuck with a hammer while you are holding the trigger.

according to my breakdown its a drill. do you checked if there is a screw inside the chuck. if there is one remove it by turning clockwise.open the chuck fully & insert allen key 5/16 or 3/8 short side to the chuck.tighten the chuck & wak the allen key with a hammer counter clockwise. do it again if required.putting back together the other way.

Chuck change

After removing the screw and inserting the allen wrench shift the drill to the LOW position and turn the clutch to the drill only position. Use an allen wrench about the size of the chuck capacity so that it will not flex when hitting it with a mallet. Sometimes they are stubborn because of the torque but this should work. Put the allen wrench at about a 30deg angle and hit the wrench. I support the chuck on a workbench or a block of wood will do fine. The chuck has standard threads.
