You did not stated what computer and what operating system, telepathy do not work very well...

i assume that printer is connected via wireless? and you operate some flavour of windows?

if that is the case, please follow procedure below:

1. open notepad
2. type exactly lines below:

net stop spooler
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.shd
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.spl
net start spooler

3. save as on desktop: DeletePrintJobs.cmd (do not delete it after! you may need it in years to come!)
4. click on it with right mouse button and then left mouse button and run as an administrator, this commands will delete all spooling jobs for the printers, regardless of the brand.
5. reboot your computer

if this did not work, then follow procedure below, this is true towards usb as well as wireless:

1. switch off printer and disconnect power cord to it
2. remove all drivers for the printer
3. run procedure from above then after restart
4. use ccleaner and clean your computer as well as registry
5. re-install printer using newest drivers appriopriate for your operating system, be it 32bit or 64bit as this is most common cause of this printer mis-behaviour
6. re-connect the printer

re-examine your wireless settings and set it as follows:
1. download and update from router manufacturer your firmware for your router, model and version
2. set SSID broadcast, change if you want to
3. set security to "WPA Personal", "WPA-PSK (TKIP)
4. set password, it need to be at least 12 characters (mixed!) long, do not use dictionary or common words!
5. set mode to "b" and "g", or if available on all your devices "n"
6. set channel to 1 or 6 or 11, these are most clear channels for most devices
7. disable/skip MAC address filtering
8. keep DHCP settings
9. save all changes
10. reboot router after changes, it will take up to 2 min
11. switch off all systems
12. re-power everything after 20sec
13. re-establish all connections

this procedure should keep your wireless connection at optimum and life relatively easy.

if you find my advice useful, please do nto forget to vote for me

Why is printing so slow to start from the time I say print until it actually starts? We are using 2 printers. One is a local printer and the other is a network printer, but they are both equally slow.

It takes time to convert the text/print material to a language the printer understands. I know what you mean though, it seems as though it's not going to work, then the printer wakes up. Also the heater drum that sets the ink has to warm up as well to be get ready to print.

Started printing 20-30 pages of article, realized not enough paper in printer, but not being my machine didnt know where to find more paper, for some minutes now machine wont print at all

You have to go to Control Panel or TaskBar where you can see your PRINTERS folder. If ther are many printers listed, select your printer.
You have to delete the printing job from the queue.
When there is nothing more in the queue,
Print again, this time go through the menu, and instead printing the whole article specify pages like Pages 22- 40 ( Omit the first pages you have already printed.
Hope this will work for you, have a good day

Printer keeps on feeding paper and prints illegible material -- if I turn off and on again it will continue feeding same --- how can I correct this problem which has occurred before and stops and resumes...

I assume you use windows XP and have you printer connected to you computer directly.
First turn off the printer, then go in your printers manager and pause the printer you have problem with it.
Delete all documents still in the printers queue. When deleted, put back on the printer, unpause the printer and print a test page (with the printer's property page on, you should have a test page button), if they dont delete, restart the computer, they shoul not be ther after rebooting.
If the test page goes well, maybe the document is corruped and need some fixing (some big picture do this problem on printers) check with other documents if they print well.
If it goes wrong again, do all the same thing again but beffore reprint, download and install the last version of the driver for you printer/OS.

Printer wont print Its telling me it can't clean.See troubleshooting. did what it said and hasn't fixed the problem green light is on - but printer does not priont when print button is pushed on computor.

Hello!!

* Turn off the printer and computer. Make sure that the printer's interface cable is securely plugged in.

* Make sure that there is no packing material in the printer.

* Turn off the printer and the computer and disconnect the printer's interface cable. Then, print an operation check page. See Running a printer operation check.

If the check page prints correctly, make sure that the printer software and your application are installed correctly.

* If you are trying to print a large image, your computer may not have enough memory to print. Try printing a smaller image.

* Windows Me and 98 users can clear any stalled print jobs from the Spool Manager.

* If the printer sounds like it is trying to print, but is unable to, run the Head Cleaning utility.

If this does not work, replace the ink cartridges. See Replacing an Empty Ink Cartridge for instructions.

Number of pages

If you use ALL small type, it will be 20 pages. Seems like the thing to do, but if you must use 21 pages, you can use 17 pages of small print (40,800), and 4 pages of large print (7,200) for a total of 48,000.

When printing an article the printer over runs the pitchure shown.

Lennyjoani- It seems you are printing a web page not printer friendly. I would recommend taking a printscreen and them printing that image. Inherently web pages are meant for display not printing.

You can try the step below and see if helps:
1. Go to the view menu of the browser
2. Go to encoding- choose western European (windows)
3. Print again

Hope this helped

When I cancel the printer does not print other items that have been scanned. it gets hung up.

Hi,
when you print an article on-line. it goes into your printers memory. 10 pages for instance. if you cancel after 5 pages. the printers RAM ( memory ) stores the remaining pages to be printed. the only way to do this, is to cancel printing. then go into printer program. and delete the queue, or pending items, before exiting windows.
hope this explains your dillema.
