Question about Whirlpool 25.6 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice Dispensing System
Although the unit could have a bad door sensor, I think the unit most likely has a bad temperature sensor or control board. I read that a control board was the problem, with a hole blown in it, so you might check the control board out carefully. I also read that the compressors on these units have a 5 year parts and labor warranty, so if the compressor is running all the time, have it checked out under warranty, if applicable.
Here is what they say to check for the alarm:
1. Alarm buzzer sounds (some models).
Turn Temp-Alarm off until temperature is below 20 degrees F. Be sure freezer is properly leveled, and that door closes freely and gaskets seal properly.
