Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
Check the motor coupling, take out the two screws that hold down the top console, flip up the console, unplug the lid switch harness in the middle or a little to the right from the middle and with a screw driver pop the two metal clips, tilt the frame to you and remove the whole frame of the washer.with a screw driver pop the two clips holding the pump on and slide the pump forward off the motor.take out the two screws and pop the motor clips and pull the motor forward, you'll see the motor coupling, there should be three arms coming off the coupling and three arms on the other part of coupling and a piece of rubber that they slide into,if it's cracked or worn in the middle replace the coupling and cut down on the size of the loads you put into washer.when putting the motor back on look at the four corners of the motor,if any of the rubber spacers are missing look where the motor goes and take the rubber spacers off the frame and stick them in the four corners of the motor and then line the motor up and install it,it's to hard to get the motor back if you don't do this.good luck and let me know what you find,if you need any more help let me know
