Question about Adobe Computers & Internet

How can I solve a video/audio sync issue in FMLE? Video acting strange. I am using a Digital Rapids DRC-500, which has been working fine so far with the DR Stream software. I've been using this type of cards with FME2.5 and FMLE3 without any issues before as well. Until now. At first, I was streaming live using FMLE3 and FMS and this is the issue I saw on the client side: The audio is perfect. The video, however, plays too fast. About each second, it's as if I was fast forwarding the video, which then stops, then again fast forwards, then stops... I'm not sure if it's a sync issue where the video is trying to sync back with the audio. I then simply saved to file in FMLE3. Same issue, so not a problem with FMS. Did it ever happen to someone before? If so, any way to solve the problem?

Hi i it seem like the Digital Rapid Recorder is having a problem, you should uninstall the Digital Rapid Recorder software and reinstall it again this should solve the problem.

Unfortunately reinstalling the DR Stream software didn't solve the issue...

Hi there since the problem still exist the best option both the FMLE 3 and the Digital Rapid Recorder and reinstall them again, lets see if the problem will go away.

  • jerome750 Aug 02, 2010

Tried that as well... even tried installing different versions: FME 2.5, FMLE 3 and FMLE 3.1.

You should check the settings for the FMLE and the Digital Rapid Recorder the settings may be incorrect.

  • jerome750 Aug 02, 2010

No special settings to fine tune on DR Stream since FMLE is using the DR driver. As for FMLE, I tried everything I could. I used the exact same settings I've used on prior PCs, when it was working fine. At this point I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the DR card or the PC itself, and hoping it's only a software fix. It's a quite obscure issue, really hoping someone had the same and managed to fix it.

This is an odd problem indeed, the DR card usually work with the drivers, but it would be great if you have the opportunity to try the DR card in another computer install the drivers and software to see if it will work.

Yeah that's exactly what I wanted to try next. I guess I'll keep you posted.

Audio is out of sync with people talking on television. Any suggestions?

It depends if this happens all the time, or on certain channels, or just on a digital TV, or in certain weather conditions. The audio and video are different data streams that have to synchronize. If your antenna blows in the wind, you could have the video lose sync and take a fraction of a second to get its act together, and by then the audio is on the next word. Some local broadcasts have intermittent sync problems. Sometimes just flipping between channels gets it back in sync.

My Sony Cybershot T90 Videos and audio is not sync when uploaded to my computer. But works fine when watching on the cam itself.

Copy the video first to the computer and play it using vlc player( it's a free software that supports most of the video and audio files that other players can't)

I am having lip sync issues with my led tv when using my Kenwood VR-407.

Therre is serious time delay issue in the processing of the audio and the video section. It is possible that the time delay circuit could be aggravated within the processor IC. It is important to use a test signal to clarify. If the TV is working fine with all other inputs and cable then you must check your kenwood for sync issues. I think this will require very professional attention and may be beyond the scope of this forum. Good day

Downloading video

The video recorded on some camera's may put the audio out of sync. That sounds like what has happened with you. If the sync is always off by lets say 2 seconds, you can fix this by taking the video footage into an editing system and you can align/adjust the audio to match the video. It's a little extra work, but it will fix you problem.

Good luck

Audio vs Video

Happens mostly on your local channels right? This is a issue with the local broadcaster and not directv. Due to the digital transition this has been a widespread issue. Until the local affiliate for NBC, ABC, etc. fully transmit a digital signal then this sync problem is to be expected.
