There is a alternator just like in a car to keep the battery charged. If it is not staying charged have the electrical system checked and the faulty component serviced.

How do you charge battery

A motorcycle battery should be charged with a small charger, 6 amps at most. Take the time to be sure your battery connections are clean, tight and in good shape. When charging any battery hydrogen gas is emitted, do it in a ventilated area with no open flame. Hook the negative clamp (black) of the charger to the negative (-) post of the battery, positive clamp (red) to the positive of the battery (+); plug charger in. Chargers may have a gauge that shows battery charged when needle is almost to 0. I prefer to spend a couple extra bucks and have a charger with automatic shut off to avoid over charging

Fi light is on, last time i drove it i ran it out of gas n it has sat awhile but sprayed starting fluid in it an it tried to start.

Fill tank with 93 octane add injector cleaner, you may need to charge battery before your running. All gas has water the older the gas the more water, running out of gass draws the water into fuel lines and injectors. Good luck

Bike is sputtering when give it gas. sat for 2

Make sure battery is full, not just charged. if the sputter is still there you may need to clean air filter, fuel fillter or carbs may need to have trash removed from inside at the fuel float valve-seat and jet.

Cranks but wont turn over

Did you drain the gas out before you stored it.

If its carb model, then the carbs probablt need taken off and cleaned.

If it fuel injected, the screens are probably plugged up....dump the gas and try fresh gas

hello, usually battery is under the seat or bolted on the left side up above the back wheel, you may need to charge battery or purchase one, when motorcycles set the battery starts to break down, because there is know current going to battery to keep it charged, if that fails you might have to replace the starter cylnoid i would drain old gas, maybe change fuel filter also.

Motorcycle shuts off as I am riding, like if I am running out of fuel, but has plenty of fuel if I mess with the petcock it starts up

Check that the carb is getting plenty of gas. Check in-tank filter if needed. Same with external filter as well. Also make sure you have a good strong spark, if not, coil or charging unit may be faulty.
