Fridge verynoisey when fridge door is shut, quite when opened. now inside fridge getting warmer. where is temp control located?

Hi, Sounds like the evaporator fan blade is hitting something. Probably frost that is building up behind the rear freezer wall. Can you see fros on the rear wall? The fan shuts off while the door is open, so that is why is quiets down when you open the door. I hope this helps locate the noise. If I can assist you further, please let me know. I an help you with the defrost problem if there is frost building up.

Thank You, Vic

Top section not working

If there is a lot of frost build up on the back wall of the freezer section you are having a defrost problem and the coils behind that wall are filling up with ice restricting air flow and letting fan blades hit it. If not a lot of frost the evap fan motor is going bad which is also located behind the freezer wall. Good luck.

Frigidaire side by side freezer - LOUD noise...

It sounds like the evaporator fan is hitting ice that is built up on the evaporator coil. When it's making the noise, open the freezer door and see if it stops.
(Most models are wired so that the evaporator fan cuts off when the freezer door is open.)
Check the inside back, lower panel of the freezer for ice built up or frost on it. If there is, you have a defrost problem that is most likley a bad heater. It's located around the coil inside the freezer behind the panel you will be looking at. The defrost problem would explain the freezer not freezing ice cream.

09 recall now it won't stop running

If it won't stop running then it should be too cold. If it isn't then you are having either a frosting problem that is usually indicated by frost build-up on the back inside wall of the freezer, or you have something else going on which could be fans, one in freezer, one at compressor, bad pumping in the compressor, or loss of refrigerant(gas). Check for the frost and listen for the fans or air movement in back then you will probably have to call a technician. Good luck, AJ
