The speakers have buzzing sound because of damaged cones.
Over driving speakers, especially with heavy low frequencies, can tear the voice coil away from the cone.
Once damaged, only replacement will help

NHT sa-2 amplifier won't go into standby mode after 10 Minutes of no signal

Does the NHT sa-2 have it's own pre-amp? Because I'm wondering if the power off only works when it's own pre-amp is used? So when your receiver is connected it's shut off.

You could try something connected to it's own pre-amp (if it has one) and see if it goes off when there's no signal from that.

Wine noise only, no volume control

C7 and C15 capacitors bad, on main amp board, 470uf/25vdc, in +13vdc power supply circuit. BE SURE TO DISCHARGE MAIN LARGE CAPACITORS ON POWER SUPPLY BOARD AS THEY RUN AT + AND - 90VDC (180VDC TOTAL) AND STAY CHARGED LONG AFTER UNIT IS UNPLUGED!!! Shock hazard and may damage unit beyond repair if not discharged while desoldering components. Use around a 1000 ohm, 5 watt resistor across capacitor leads, if possible check voltage with meter to be sure they are discharged.

Looking for a replacement speaker for my Technics SB-LX7 floor standing 3-way speakers the top speaker on one of them is broken. Model # Technics EAS65PH313A6

OK. I suggest typing the model in on EBay and getting the cheapest one there is.

Subwoofer hum from STR-DH800

That points pretty much to a bad shield on the cable. Have you tried another one? Another thing to try is to rotate the AC power cord on the sub (if it has one). Sorry, too lazy to look it up.

How to hookup ipod to technics sb-2840 speakers

quick solution is to go down to radio shack and get a small amp.  They have them for under a $100.00 bucks. The connection is from the mini jack to stereo RCA's for greatest ease and flexibility.  You can also go to a good music shop like Guitar Center and see what they have used.

Max. wattage for speakers w/ Technics Receiver SA-GX100?

I too have a Technics SA-GX100 and it's rated at 2 x 40W @ 8 Ohms. I have the Technics SB-2840 floor model speakers hooked to it, which are rated at 200W Music Input - 8 ohms. It sounds very nice just to be a 40W receiver.

I have a NHT SA-2 Amplifier 1996 model year. Once unit warms up I get load poping noises from the subwoofer. Please advise what may be causing this to happen.

sounds like speaker is clipping (overdriving) put a meter onthe disconnected speaker and see what the resistance is,4 ohms ,8 ohms ,if the meter wont stay in one place (numbers changing constantly) you have a burnt or damaged coil in your sub, if that is not the problem change your RCA's cables to make sure it not a bad wire including speaker wires! GOOD LUCK
