Pioneer VSX-456 headphone jack problem

No the headphone jack doesn't disable the speakers. There are two switches in the lower middle of the receiver that are labeled speaker A and B. Pushing one of these should disconnect the speakers from the receiver.

Onkyo mute channels. When turned on, one or more channels remain mute. Acts like a contact problem; when switched on-off-on multiple times, mute channels may vary

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

The speakers are not connected properly. Check the speaker connections. The Mute function is activated. Turn off the Mute function. The volume is turned all the way down. Turn up the volume. Neither set of speakers is selected (if unit has A/B buttons to select sets of speakers). Press either A or B to select a set of speakers. Both sets of speakers are selected, but only one set is connected (if unit has A/B buttons to select sets of speakers). Press the appropriate button to deselect the speaker outputs which are not connected. The receiver is set to TAPE MONITOR (if applicable). Turn off TAPE MONITOR mode. Headphones are plugged into the main unit. Unplug the headphones. The source selector is set to the wrong source. Select the proper source. The impedance of the speakers is less than the rating for the system. Use speakers with the correct impedance rating.

How can I connect Senheiser wireless headphone to Yamaha RX773 without using front headphone jack as this mutes speakers, I have hearing problems, my wife doesn't, I tried both av audio outs in the back...

Your receiver has Zone-2 functionality. For Zone-2, it has both speaker (powered) output and pre-out line outputs. According to Yamaha FAQ, these pre-out outputs are independent on the main volume settings. So if your wireless headphones have their own volume settings, you can change the volume independent on speakers volume.

If you want same volume for speakers and headpohones, use the PRE-OUT FRONT outputs on the back. If you want different volumes (and listen to headphones even with speakers muted), use ZONE-2 OUT outputs on the back.

No output to speekers Sony STR-DE825

Check that the mute is not on.If a headphone is plugged into the receiver the speakers will be muted.Verify the the output selector is set to the correct source. Here is a simple check.Select a strong FM radio station.Plug in a headphone. If you are receiving an audio thru the headset. Then disconnect the headset and see if the audio is transmitted to the speakers. If you still have no speaker sound check to see if the speakers have fuses which may be blown.I would try another set of speakers to determine if it's the amplifer or the speakers. The amplifer has fuses as well. Wiilbe inside if not at the rear

I GET GOOD RECEPETION BUT WHEN I CLICK THE TV TO STOP SOUND IT ALSO STOPS SOUND TO MY EAR PHONES WHAT IS WRONG

From the initial details of your problem it is unclear what equipment you have connected and what you are trying to listen to with your headphones.

Please describe exactly what piece of equipment your headphones are plugged in to. If it is a TV or a stereo system, please provide the model number for it.

If you are using wireless headphones plugged directly into your TV, please provide the model number of the headphone and for the TV and whether you are plugged into the EARPHONE jack, or the LEFT and RIGHT AUDIO OUT jacks.

If you are trying to listen to your TV audio through a home stereo amplifier, then please describe what type of cables you are using to connect the TV or set top box to the stereo (HDMI, RCA stereo, etc).

When you say that you 'CLICK TV TO STOP SOUND', do you mean that you are pushing the MUTE button on your TV's remote control?

Normally, pushing the TV's MUTE button will turn off the sound for both the TV's speakers and for the headphone output.

It is usually possible to shut off just the TV's speakers and leave the headphone volume active but in most cases this must be done through the TV's AUDIO OPTIONS MENU. For most TV's there is usually an option there to TURN TV SPEAKERS OFF.

Please comment back here to this page and provide as many additional details about your current setup and how you normally use your heaphones and I will respond as soon as I see it with any additional assistance necessary.

Thank you and take care.

Joe.

How does Logitech X-540 speakers connect to a laptop?

You connect the green cable from the subs (the green one of the three, the other two being black and yellow) to where your headphones or speakers go into your laptop. Then you make sure the matrix button is activated on the x-540. This will make sound come from all of the speakers and it will use the sub, i.e. virtual surround sound.

To do it properly without using the matrix mode and trying to enable actual surrond sound (with centre satellie being mostly vocal, front two being instrumental/music, and back two being sound effects) then you need to buy an external sound card for your laptop that supports 5.1. I'd recommend the creative x-fi external usb, but only if you have xp. If you have vista, forget about getting an external sound card that supports real 5.1 for now because there aren't really any good and truly compatible ones.

Hello!
im affraid to answer your question because in most cases you will rate me " thanks for trying" it hurt me but it's ok because i want to help you.

First install the driver of your "sound blaster X-Fi extreme audio notebook card" the Utility cd is enclosed in it. after that Hook your speaker to the output of the newly installed card. and then go to control panel , double click the "sounds and audio devices" and then in the "audio tab" and in sound playbak. select the device according to your sound card.

You can adjust some setting there and click ok.

may this solve your problem.
