Infocus LP350 won't show signal, also panel buttons don't light up

Hello, I have an Infocus lp350 that I JUST BOUGHT A NEW BULB FOR. I put it in correctly and have turned on the projector to test it. When I turn it on, the fans run, and the main light stays green. The bulb lights and then there's nothing. It's still lit, but the screen is entirely black and the lights on the control panel don't light up. I get no welcome screen and the menu buttons don't appear to have any affect. If anyone can help me diagnose, that would be great! I hope the dlp functions of this projector haven't stopped working. Otherwise I just wasted $300.

Nevermind. I took the projector apart and checked all the connections (which were all correct but I wiggled them all and reconnected them just in case) and magically that did the trick. All the menu buttons light up when necessary and the image is great. Only 3000 hours left on my bulb :P

Yeah, strange enough the lamp timer was already reset. I think whomever had this projector before me had tested it before selling it. Thanks for the response, though!

Hi LuckyLindy

Next time this happens , just take out the main connection to the Mainboard and plug it back in.

Also remember to reset your lamp timer now that you have replaced the lamp !

INFOCUS LP350 WILL NOT POWER ON, SMELLS LIKE A CAP EXPLODED.

did the projector make a popping sound if so that lamp has shattered. the smell would be mercury and the projector will not switch on until the lamp has been reset.
depending if the projector was hot the hot glass may of stuck to the lcd screen so it may not work again.

I'm tryingto hook up my lp350 to hdmi. I purchased an m1-da to hdmi adapter. When I hook up my dvd player or PS3, I get a message that the display does not contain HDCP compatibility.

Unfortunatly your projector is not HDCP compliant. In other words it lacks the proper hardware and software which is neccessary for you to watch HDCP content. HDCP is a form of copy protection.

What does it mean when that blinking green light turns to orange one in lp 350?

Hi
This would be "Standby"
When you press standby, the display and audio turn off and a blank screen is displayed for 15 minutes.
You can change the amount of time the projector stays in standby mode; see “Standby Time” on page 27 for details.
The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.
• If you press standby again within 15 minutes, the projector returns to normal operations immediately. The LED changes from orange to green.
• If you press standby again after 15 minutes, there is about a 60 second delay before the lamp turns back on. The LED flashes green while the lamp is re-lighting.
• If you don’t press standby again, the lamp turns off after 15 minutes. The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.

I hope these help

Projector not working

Have you tried the internal fuse? without a proper fuse in the panel you will get no power i.e. lights and such to the device. Simple but the first place to check.
