SOURCE: The left front gas burner

Hello,
you can fixed this yourself, all you have to do is to follow the instructions below,
Check the solenoid valve for community, As the solenoid valves are a common point of failure, if that is okay check voltage, the valves use 110VDC to open , with only 60VDC change the simmer control, this comes in a kit with two potentiometer, this is located behind the sparks module under the top far right in the back.
With the parts mention replace all burner will work great.
Thanks for asking fixya a question....

SOURCE: I have a Viking Professional

I just had a tech come to my house and he told me that I need a new glow plug, It's the box to the right of the flame. Looks easy to replace, his visit took 5 minutes and it cost me 143.95 (this doesn't include the cost for the part or to have him come fix it, that will be sometime next week) so if you can get the part and do it yourself I would suggest that.

Hi,
Here is a test you can use to check the ignitors, Ignitor test. I also would like to you turn the thermostat knob slowly from the off position, When do you hear the click in the knob? You should hear it before the warm or lowest numbered setting on the knob. If you don't, replace the thermostat as it has failed. Need full model number to get you part.
Good Luck
Stay dry out there!!

Two burners on jenn air counter top make sparking sound but burners won't ignite

turn electricity off to ignitors. remove grates and clean up the burners good, they might have a clogged up hole. gas may not be coming out of burner holes. good-day !! if all else fails, just use a wooden match to light that burner.

We have a 6 burner, nat gas cooktop....all unit light but the igniter clicking will not stop...unplugged it . question: all mechanics are closed is this safe gaswise?

What happens in this style ignition system is that the thermostat or electronic control switches power to the oven ignitor and gas valve circuit which are connected in series (one after the other). As power flows through the ignitor it heats and draws current (measured in amperage). Once the oven ignitor draws a specific amount of current the oven valve opens to allow gas to flow to the oven burner where the glowing hot ignitor (glow bar) ignites it. Power must continually flow through the ignitor and oven gas valve for gas to be released into the oven burner to create a flame. Once the set temperature is achieved the control stops all power to the ignition circuit which causes the ignitor to dim and the oven gas valve to close, stopping any burner flame. Cycling on and off continues to maintain the specific temperature the control is set for.
