Question about Asrock G31M-S Motherboard

1 Answer

Want to know that "ASRock G31M-S" is compatable with Nvidia 9500

I have recently buy a new graphic card i.e. "NVidia 9500" and my present motherboard is "ASrock G31M-S".
And while playing high graphics games my whole monitor screen goes black and my computer gets restart after showing memory dumping error.
So i just wont to know that my mother board is compatable with this graphic card or not. Or there is a problem with my graphic card ?
But before this graphic card I was using NVidia 8400 graphic card and at that time all the games where running with No problem.

My computer current Configuration is :
Procesor - Core 2 Quard Q8400
Ram - 1GB 667MHZ + 2GB 667MHZ = 3GB
Motherboard - ASRock G31M-S
Graphic card - NVidia gforce 9500

Your new card maybe faulty or you might need a larger Power Supply Unit (PSU),, if its just started to happen...

Because it has NVIDIA® GeForce 6100 / nForce 405 Chipset.
any NVIDIA® GeForce card will be the best to get, but why do you wan't a new card when the on board one is a NVIDIA® GeForce6-class graphics DX9.0 VGA, Pixel Shader 3.0, Max. shared memory 256MB?
just get a VGA to DXI converter that's what i did there only a couple of pounds.

Can i add nvidia 9500 gt on intel D865GVHZ

The board only supports regular PCI expansion boards. Most new video cards are PCI Express which is a different specification. I wouldn't recomend it.

Nvidia geforce 9500 gt gpu work on asus p5n73-am

Hi!

Nahh...you can use that gpu with that mobo, but i wouldent recomend it. The GPU - Requires NVIDIA HybridPower™- enabled motherboard, and that mobo dosent have that. It might work but you cant use the full power of that gpu on that mobo. And beside that, that gpu is bigger then the mobo itself
I sugest you to buy another mobo, the gpu you looking at is a good one but your mobo isent that good.

Here is the spec for the GPU:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_9500gt_us.html

And here are the spec for that mobo:

Good luck

Which latest Graphic card can be supported by my Asrock P4i45GV?

Hi

Any video card that supports AGP x8 Should work on this motherboard.

For example Nvidia 7800 GS AGP or 7600 GS AGP should work fine.

But a better investment would be to upgrade the motherboard to a PCI-E supporting board and possibly AMD Dual or Triple / quad core processor the ram is very cheap for DDR2 these days.

Upgrade would be best in long run.

Installing NVidia 8500GT XFX 256MB graphics to A8N-VM Motherboard

The chances are that you have an old motherboard which is not compatable with the new graphic card. Or you may be running windows 98 and are downloading the driver for xp or visa versa. The probable solution, will be to sell the new card on ebay and buy the best old card you can off ebay. Or just make do with the card you already had in your computer. If you are determined to have a better graphics card. A motherboard upgrade with better graphic card may be the best answer or buy a better spec pc second hand if you don't have much money. You'll probably waiste a lot of time trying to get the new card to work and it probably never will.
