Remove the long bolt that holds the armature to the crankshaft, Tap (thread) the hole in the armature as far down as your tap will reach, Use a long bolt or rod stock and a smaller rod as a spacer between the crank shaft and your rod stock ( cut to length) this is your homemade puller. as you tighten the rod stock, hit the sides of the armature with a wood block and (using a hammer against the wood) it will probably pop loose then.

Motor wont turn over

Your engine is physically ruined, most likely from a thrown rod, but could be a number of things. Time to get a rebuilt engine and hope they'll accept yours as a core. If you're knowledgeable, you can remove the engine, disassemble it, and find out what went wrong.

Keeps bending pushrods

It sounds like your tolerances on cams, etc, inside the engine are out of spec causing this problem. I would do a complete teardown of engine to properly diagnose.

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

My van motor just broke, i had just filled it up with gas, how can i get gas out of it

Remove all plugd and disable coil pack (for safety) and crank engine.

The pistons on all cyc. will push all gas + coolant out of the engine.

Please use towel /newspaper to protect the engine bay and floor before cracking the engine.
The oil/gas/coolant mix will make the floor.

Xp8000e wont start. sound like a dead battery, nor will pull start turn engine over.

have you tried removing the spark plug and see if possibly there's a hydro lock from gas or oil in the piston area of the machine, this will remove any pressure off the starter and also pull rope mechanism, then you can visually look into the cylinder and see whats going on,then if this doesn't help then you may have a locked up engine from lack of oil lubrication and the rod bearings in the sump may be bad resulting in the need for a complete rebuild of the engine,if the engine checks out o.k. then you may have a locked up generator head, you may need to split the two components to find out which is locked up

What you Have Described is Indicative of Throwing a ROD. Practically the ONLY thing this Can Be Is A Connecting rod Broke Loose and was Ejected Into the Oil PAN this Is FATAL Engine Damage.
To Fix it Without Replacing the Engine ? YES But Engine Must be removed and Disassembled to repair it and the COST Would Be Excessive.
Best Bet is Replace Engine, New Engines Have GOOD WARRENTEE"S --- Used Engines have SHORT Guaranties BUT With a SKILLED Technician Doing the Selecting for you along with Finding one With LOW MILLAGE then you get off Much Cheaper that NEW One. Hope This Helps and Sorry to Have BAD NEWS on Your Engine

Sounds like something broke in motor 1988 corsica 4 cylinder

If the sound is coming from the block, than it probably is. the rod broke from piston pin. Don't run motor if it is like this or the rod WILL go through the block.

If it is from the head, it may be a push rod.

Motor Blew Up

Normally they only have a 90 day warranty. But if the generator is under a year old I would contact the manufactor and see what they say.
