Hi, Yes. My problem is my grandson was on my emachine pc & when he was thru, I went to use the Power Player 5 DVD in this pc it looks like he accidently uninstalled it. Is there a way this can be fixed? I certainly hope so. He did this a couple of days ago. Thank you very much. Signed, Marion Blais

Hi,

I cannot activate my system. Here is the message I received on the screen:

Memory read/write failure@05CA1Doc, read 25C825CA expecting 25CA25CA

Decreasing available memory

Memory address line failure @05CB0000 read 00000000 Expecting 34343434

Decreasing available memory

Keyboard failure

Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility

(I could not do this; system not working.)

Do a system restore back to before he uninstalled it. If it came with your rig it should be on one of the CDs.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have an emachine t2885, when i hit the power button, i dont get any power to the computer, but the keyboard, speakers and monitor lights go on, but no power to the computer, help

I'm going to guess pwr supply 12 volts side. The 5 volts side lights up keyboard and mouse; both get replaced when they fix (replace) the power supply.

The hard drive and dvd player us the 12volts side.

Check 12 volt supply side if low disconnect hard drive check voltage again,, if 12 volts hard drive bad,,, if low disconnect dvd,,, if 12volts connect hard drive,,,if 12 volts dvd bad. of course this scenerio can go the opposite way. Do you know how to use a multimeter? Black box maintence is exciting.

I need to restore it to factory settings.

If you don't have a recovery disk, which they usually don't provide anymore, you can make one if the computer is still working properly. Type" recovery disk" into help & it should walk you thru it. Otherwise you can call or email the maker of the computer, which I think is gateway & order one. Then put it in the computer, restart & it should walk itself thru. You make have to go to setup when the computer first boots up & make sure it goes to the dvd drive first.

TV Samsung 910mp. I had it for 4 year. I also

It is either the backlight inverter circuits went out or the power supply for the inverter is bad due to bad caps, you will need to open it up and look inside.
Look through my pictures so you will know what bad caps look like.

How do I burn a dvd movie from the Movie Maker so we can watch it on a regular dvd player

Burning a DVD is not all that simple. Some Emachines come with a DVD player drive but not burner. Just because your system has windows movie maker on it does not mean it can actually produce them. You need to make sure it actually has a DVD writer on it and not just a player.

If so I would definatly look into some additional software for making DVDs as movies maker is flakyand not all that great. If you are not finding the option to burn the movie in movie maker the changes are you do not have a DVD burner insalled but just a DVD player drive.

Emachine will not play any dvd movies

Assuming that you have a DVD capable drive, you need a player. Cyberlink Power DVD, should do the trick.

Pioneer Dv 285 powers down after 15sec

Hi There, I've got the same problems with my DV 285. My power started going off approximately 5 to 10 minutes into the DVD. The only button that seems to work is the OPEN/CLOSE button. Once the tray closes, the unit shuts off. I can't even use the on/standby button to turn it on.

Sony DVD player color adjustment (Model #DVP-N5400D)

Solved the problem!Well, After reading two manuals on the Sony DVD player, I saw one cable not connected: the S Video connection. I connected that. Tried it out again, seemed a little better, but still not the full range of reds. At that point I thought the problem was either: 1) the cables from the DVD player to the TV or 2) the DVD player is the problem So, I thought I'd start with replacing the cables. Labeled them as to where they went, took them out and went to Radio Shack and explained my problem. The clerk I spoke to was very nice, said he had seen this problem before, and said there was a menu on the DVD for adjusting RGB settings.
So, I went back home, plugged in the cable, and went all thru the 2 Sony DVD booklets and the display menu on the TV. There was nothing mentioned re: color settings. Went thru the DVD menu many times, looking, looking. I felt I had come up with nothing.
Turned everything off. Turned back on. Put in a DVD: It looks great! :)
So, hoping it never happens again..cause I'm not sure I can repeat it! Maybe it was removing all the cables from their sockets and restarting...I know that sometimes works with computers...anyway.. At least I didn't have to buy a new DVD! Lesson: unplug, re:plug...before you trash it!

Yes.
There's an integrated circuit that steers all the input signals thru.
That has crapped out.

If it works fine with only the battery, then the lcd should be fine. Your power adapter might be bad.
