Condenser gets blocked due to ice formation despite cleaning

At low temperature condenser gets chocked with ice. If it is shutdown for a while then it again cools very well for few minutes. But not more than 15 minutes it is again blocked. Is there any solution to this problem ?

Condensation on frigidaire dehumidifier turn to ice

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that the condensation is turning to ice on your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# LAD704TDL. This can be a possible cause of your dehumidifier being turned on recently. This is normal, due to refrigerant rushing through the coil. Frost will usually disappear within 60 minutes. Another possibility is the room temperature is too low. All dehumidifiers will operate satisfactorily at temperatures greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your dehumidifier status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Pull the refrigerator out and remove the back bottom panel. Also remove the kick plate in the front. The condenser coils are probably dirty (if you've never cleaned them, they are probably LAYERED with debris). Get everything cleaned out under there, be sure the condenser fan (in the back of the refrigerator) is working and see if that doesn't help. Dirty condenser coils can exhibit the exact same symptoms as more serious problems like a failing compressor.

The ice cube indicator is blinking

From the manual:

The Control Center monitors refrigerator and

freezer temperatures as well as the ice maker

system. If there is a temperature or ice maker

problem, you'll be alerted by a flashing

SERVICE indicator light. This same SERVICE

light will also flash if the condenser needs

cleaning. Before calling for service, please

check and see if your condenser area needs

cleaning. Refer to Condenser Cleaning,
page 22.

In all Built-In models, the condenser is located

behind the grille. First, remove the grille. Then

using a soft bristle brush, vacuum to remove

dust and lint from the condenser. NOTE: To

avoid bending the condenser fins, be sure to

vacuum in the direction of the fins (up and

down). Clean the condenser area every three

to six months.

Before cleaning the unit, shut the electricity

off at the control panel. When you

clean the condenser, wear gloves to avoid

injury from the sharp condenser fins.

Failure to clean the condenser could

result in temperature loss or mechanical
failure or damage.

It is not freezing up because of the temperature, but because of ice being formed in inside. Either by a blocked condensation duct, or snow due to previous storm.

Frigidaire side by side model# PLHS269ZCBO

How cold is the freezer? Check the condenser coils for cleanliness and clean if necessary. Condenser may be located in the back behind a fiber panel. Ice maker is dependent on temperature and if the freezer is not reaching a low enough temperature it will affect your ice production.
