Since the filter is cleared, check to make sure that the drain hose is not clogged or kinked. Remove the filter again and reach the pump impeller in with your finger to check if turning freely or not. Replace the pump if the impeller is stuck.

Check the pump during the drain step of the cycle to see if it's working or not. Check the pump wire connections both at the pump itself and at the central control unit (CCU). Remove the top panel to access the pump connections at the central control unit (CCU).

Clean the pump filter screen on a Kenmore HE2 Not draining

  1. Unplug machine.
  2. Remove bottom front panel(remove 2-3 screws in the bottom) Pull bottom of panel out and down to remove.
  3. Towards the center bottom you will see the pump. On the front is a round thing that resembles a filter. This is the pump filter screen...
  4. Get a shallow pan to put under screen. Turn lid counter clockwise to remove(turn slowly and allow water to drain. As you may need to dump pan several times before all water is drained out. Getting codes in this order F20 5d and F21

The F21 code is because the machine is taking longer than the 8 minutes it's supposed to take to drain. A few things can be wrong: First, unplug the machine. 1. Check the filter (remove bottom panel and twist off the round filter). Remove any debris and put back the filter. The smallest amount can block the impeller at the drain pump. 2. Make sure the washer drain hose isn't more than 8 inches in the drain pipe. 3. use a snake in the drain pipe to remove any blockage.
If there's water in the tub, you'll need to drain that by either two ways 1. set washer to drain and spin or 2. let the water out when you check the filter (this gets messy and can take awhile to get all of the water out). Before anything, get a copy of your machines instruction manual. It's usually located taped inside the bottom panel. If not, then you'll be able to find it online for free. You'll need the model number and that's inside the washer door.

What's F-21

This error code F21 signifies a drain problem and usually caused by a blocked drain filter. Check to make sure that the drain hose is free from obstructions then remove the three screws securing the bottom front panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You may prop up the bottom front edge of the machine with a 4X4 block of wood or cushion the top rear edge and lean it against the wall for easy access and removal of the screws.

Once the bottom front panel is off, you'll find the drain filter knob. Turn the knob counterclockwise to remove and clean the filter. You may need to lay a towel under the filter to catch residual water before removing it. Manually drain the water, by gravity, from the tub if significant amount of water is still present by placing the end of the drain hose as low as possible into a basin or bucket.

Click on the link below if cleaning the drain filter doesn't solve the problem.

How do you remove the filter???? it doesnt say in the instructions

The drain filter in Whirlpool front load washers is located at bottom front inside of the machine. Remove the screws securing the bottom front panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the machine with a block of wood or cushion the rear top edge and lean it against the wall for easy access and removal of the screws.

Once the panel is off, you'll find a knob which the filter itself. Turn the knob counterclockwise to remove and clean the filter. You may need to lay a towel under the filter to catch residual water before removing it. Manually drain the water, by gravity, from the tub if significant amount of water is still present by placing the end of the drain hose as low as possible into a basin or bucket.

Washer is flashing f2

F2 on a Whirlpool Duet means their is a problem with the Drain Pump or Drain Pump Filter. The Drain Pump and Filter are located at the bottom of the Washing machine. You must remove the front, bottom panel to gain access to the Drain Pump and Filter. Disconnect the Filter and Drain Hoses and clear them out. If they are clear, you may need to replace your Drain Pump.

I have a WM2277HS TROMM Washing Machine and at the end of the cycle the water does not drain nor does it spin. Therefore, the rinse & spin cycle only rinses but does not drain the water nor spins. ...

Sounds like a bad lid switch. Check to see if you hear a "click" from the switch when you open and close the lid. If you do not, then you should replace the lid switch.

LG front loading washer (3 years old?) not spinning

Open the access door at the lower left front of the machine. Use the small hose to drain the remaining water from the machine. Remove the filter (the big knob thingy next to that little drain hose) and clean it out. Washer will not spin if there is still water in the tub. If there is nothing in the filter, you may have a pump motor / impeller problem. Do an "ask me" if need more help.

Clean the drain by opening the door on the bottum left.
Use the yellow plastic thingy in the front of the soap drawer to do it.

You can open the machine door by pulling the yellow tag in the bottom door.
Drain the water through the filter, clean the filter and close.

Then unplug the machine and tilt it forward by about 1 foot until you see water coming out of the bottom (put towel on floor).

Plug back in and voila!

I do think that this machine is a major pain. No spin cycle and this kind of stuff to go through. Anyone want to buy mine?
