With these pool cleaners, I would first check your water flow to make sure you are getting sufficient pressure to propel the cleaner. Next, check the throat of the cleaner for obstructions that would restrict movement. Make sure that your shoes and wings are not worn. Make sure you have proper tension in your rear flap. Adjust it and see if you get different results. Make sure all of your screens, turbines, etc. are clear and free of debris.

If you move the shifting lever in my truck it doesn't move the gears. I took the lever out and it seems to be missing a piece. It goes in the middle in some google pics it seems to be black. Any help?

If you have a stick shift that goes directly into the top of the box, the problem could be a missing pivot pin in the ball at the bottom of the stick
under that ball and directly at the end if the stick is a smaller ball that should have a plastic cup attached
that cup fits neatly into the selector rail slots
if it is missing ( probably broke up and fallen to the bottom of the box) the shift will be very sloppy
if the pivot in the turret is missing ( probably fallen out on the raid) the lever has no leverage point to move the selector rails

Oldsmobile intrigue problems

make sure the throttle cable is not damaged and moves easily by disconnecting the cable at the throttle body and move the cable back and forth it should move easily and no restriction in movement. if this is good then you can try to clean the throttle body as it gets dirty inside and can cause the throttle to stick.

Steering levers difficult to move

Add hydraulic fluid if it uses hydraulics and change or add oil if needed. grease up any and all grease ports. If the problem continues you might want to have a professional come out and look at it.

Driver's window stops coming up half way up.

When you pull up does it move easily or is it fairly stiff? If it moves easily than its possible the regulator is bad ( the part the motor attaches to). Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using!

Head light replacement

2 methods......1st, drivers side, stick your hand down by the alternator and then move over behind the headlight. You'll feel a 3" round rubber boot, just pull it off. Twist the bulb out and replace.

Passengers side- take the top of the air cleaner off, at that point, you can easily get to the rubber boot and bulb.

2nd, involves removing the grill, I don't like this method as the grill can crack or break easily while trying to pull it off.

Rear brake sticking

Try oiling (lightly) the brake shaft where it goes into the rear wheel hub and where there are moving pivots and bushings. Make sure the spring on the pedal arm returns the arm smartly. Worst case, remove the rear wheel and grease lightly, the brake cam which sits between the ends of the brake shoes. Wipe out any brake dust from the brake shoes and drum. Hope this helps!

You need to get some oil to drool down the cable on the inside if you can, it will free it up. Try blaster, the stuff works great. Some of the cables are just metal clad and the oil will penetrate right through it, but the plastic coated ones you have to get in from the top, hope this helps.
