I have a Gateway Laptop and it will not charge. What should I do?

I have a Gateway Laptop and everytime i put the charger in I have to hold it in order for it it to charge. What is wrong? Where do I go to update my computer? What should I do?

Wiz1. You need to see any bios updates for your laptop, if yes update bios.
2. If update didn't solves your problem you need to replace battery.
