A 208 volt 24 volt coil relay is rated for use at 208 volts at the relay contacts. The coil used to energize or closed the relay contacts are operated o 24 volts .a 24 volt transformer is used for the coil circuit.
Hope this helps.

Wiring schematic for an old honeywell R8325C1020-8514 fan center relay..

Without a picture Mike, I'm not sure this answer is absolutely correct but.... most of the old fan centers had a multitap transformer so different colored wires were provided to connect to 110v, 208v or 230v. If thats what it is, white was common to the black for 110v. White was common to orange for 208v and white was common to red for 230v.

If you have red and black hanging loose, possibly the center is connected to orange and white with 208v power supply. Of course many times, the orange and red were interchanged with 208v OR 230v.

Another point is that virtually all residential gas furnaces operate on 110v and 208/230v operated electric furnace.

As stated above, without a picture this is just a reasonably educated guess....Conventional furnaces less than 15 years old typically no longer have fan centers.

How do you wire 208v receptacle to service panel

A 208 volt breaker looks like 2 single breakers with their handles joined by a metal rod so if one side trips, both will . When you put the breaker in the panel the wire from each breaker goes to the outer lugs on the receptacle. The third wire goes to ground...not the neutral.

I installed a 3 ph 208v Square D starter with 2- 120v relays wired from the incomming power, in series, for phase loss protection. I took a neutral to the mag coil and and a wire from the relay contact to...

1. Why not buy a phase loss monitor that monitors all 3 legs. 208v 3ph is 115-120V to neutral. If you're using two 120V relays you'd only be monitoring 2 legs of the 3 phase. Using relays can be risky, as sometimes when you loose one phase you'll still pick up voltage through your load. If your set on using relays use 2-208V relays. Connect one to phase A+B and the other to B+A and then wire two of the normally open contacts in series and put that in your circuit with your pressure switch. I'f you're using 208V for control voltage, then you need to take L2 to the oveloads and then to the coil. L1 would go to your pressure switch, and the return from the pressure switch would go to the other side of your coil. You could add your phase loss protection here.

How to wire timer for 208 lighting

The Model T103 is designed for 120VAC. You might just want to purchase a T104 which is already made for 208V use. That would be the simplest and safest solution.

If your incoming power is 120V/208V 3-phase with a neutral, you could try rewiring the timer. Disconnect the timer motor from the contact screws and wire it directly to one phase and the neutral. Then use the two switch poles to control the 208V line wiring. If you have no neutral available you're out of luck. You should probably consult a licensed electrician to avoid any insurance liability.

This site has the 208V timer as well as downloadable instruction sheets for the 100 series.

Wrong voltage rating

Hello. If the unit is rated 460v, 3phase, the only way you can get it to meet your supply of 208v, 3phase, is:
a) have a transformer installed to make 460 from your supply by an electrician, or call your power company and see if 460 could be supplied to your building, but it would only be for that machine.
b) replace the heating elements for the 208v supply, have the pump motor checked to see if it will work on 208v, and a control transformer for the control circuit, as well as all the wiring related to the pump and heaters, as on 208v, they will draw more current than on 460.
so, can it be done? yes. Is the expense worth it? only you can answer that, However I would suggest that you resell that machine, and get the correct one from the start.

Hope that helps, and thank you.

Hobart HEC40 208V to a 240V source

The only difference should be the elements. Consider installing a buck-boost transformer. It may be cheaper.

The Hobart part number for the 240 volt element assembly is --
# 342170-00002. Your local Hobart can get you a price.
