Hello,

Thermocouples can be purchased at most hardware stores, home depot, etc.

The only difference for a thermocouple is the length. There are heavy duty types and regular. I would suggest using a heavy duty thermocouple.

Also, it is recommended that thermocouples should be changed every 2-3 years to prevent unnecessary failures, which usually occur when you need the unit the most.

Thanks for contacting Fixya.

I am sure you are talking about thermal fuse or a thermostat. Please post back for any further assistance. If you are satisfied please do accept the solution.

What I am looking for is the Thermal coupler that senses an overheating condition. It bolts against the inside of the unit and is flat, about the size of a dime, and is rated at 180 centigrade.

How do you remove the coupling on model kichenaid ksb560mco. it doesnt spin off like some online instructions say.

It should spin off when you stop the motor from turning. Use a long flat bladed screwdriver positioned against one of the teeth of the coupler on the angled side of the tooth. Then hit the screwdriver with a hammer to drive it into the plastic tooth without breaking off the tooth. (Note: it's a left-handed thread, not the more common right-handed thread. So you need to turn it clockwise to loosen.)

The hard part is getting that motor connection to stop turning with the coupling.

If you want to save the coupler and some damage to the blender when the screwdriver slips, get the blender coupler removal tool. See http://www.kitchenaidblog.com/blender/kitchenaid-blender-rubber-coupler-9704230-with-removal-tool/ for a link to buy both. Slide the removal tool under the old coupler to hold the knob from turning. Then turn the coupler to remove it. For some a pair of pliers helps you start the coupler moving. (It can get stiff over time.)

I hope this helps.

I just got a used sc-a102 vacuum and I need to

Greetings from GoVacuum.com,

The Sanyo Performax model SC-A102 use the Sanyo Upright Bags Part Number PU-1 Bag. We stock most of the parts for this Sanyo if you ever need anything.

Here's some links to the products on our site that will fit your vacuum cleaner:

- Sanyo PU-1 Upright Vacuum Cleaner Bag, Generic 9pk.

- Sanyo SC-A102 Performax Vacuum Cleaner Belts, 2pk. Part SC-BL3

- Sanyo SC-A102 Performax Vacuum Cleaner Exhaust Filters Part SC-FU1

GoVacuum.com can also special order any part that you require. I hope that this helps you. The Sanyo uprights are pretty good quality, inexpensive vacuum cleaners. They use metal in all the right places, and last longer, unlike models that use just plastic.

Fantom Cyclone XT Vacuum Cleaner

Here is the owners manual which goes over some troubleshooting problems.

http://www.fantom.com/fantom/manuals/Cyclone.pdf

At first I would think it was the thermal overload, which is covered in the manual. But I would guess that you have let it sit for 30 minutes to cool down and tried again and the vacuum still didn't work.
I would think you may have one of four problems.
1. Your thermal overload was tripped and is stuck and will need replaced.
2. You have a clog in your vacuum lines or the brush roller is froze, which keeps causing the thermal overload to trip.
3. Your power cord has a short, which would need replaced.
4. Your power switch is bad, which would need replaced.
Out of these 4 possible problems I would say the only one you could fix on your own would be problem #2. Make sure the vacuum is unplugged and take the brush roller off and clean it, make sure it moves free. Check your vacuum lines to make sure you do not have a clog, other wise the motor does not get air flow to cool it down causing the thermal overload to trip. As for problem 1, 3, and 4 I would suggest taking it to a repair shop.
Hope this helps, post back.

I need to reset the thermal reset button. I have never opened by back pack vacuum before. Does it have a particular color and does it have to be reset to a particular point or do I just press a button?
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Eureka / Sanitaire SC412 Thermal Reset. I would contact the manufacturer to see if your particular model # has one, just give them the model # and the serial #. So I suggest that you get an owner’s manual from the manufacturer on you particular model so that if happens again, you will be prepared. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Electrolux Canister - Stops working after 1-2...
Our vac works for a short time, then shuts off and makes clicking noise as if trying to restart again. Works after cooling for a while but for another very short time. Your suggestion on fix would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure
I would advise that it could be a thermal switch or a regular switch that the thermal switch is over heating and needs replacement – there are small hoses in the door section that could have been pinched or kinked and it stopping the air flow from the vacuum – also check for a clogged or plugged vacuum hose, a full vacuum bag or a dirty vacuum filter. Check the thermal switch or reg switch or the hoses in the door. Or feel free to contact your local vacuum dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or call the factory @ the phone number listed below:
