Hello,
You have to open the back cover of the television to check for bulged capacitors, if found replace with the same rating of the capacitors, but otherwise.
Also note that
If the green light comes on and blinks when the remote is touched it was never a issue with the mainboard, if it was you wouldnt have any signs of power. In most lcd tvs you have the main board which is normally the power board, the signal board which recieves signal and hold settings of the tv which can be all in one, the other is the inverter board, which scrambles the signal to what you see on the screen, and next we have the back light which lights the screen so you can see the picture, sometimes in certain models as i have learned you can have power/inverter boards which means the inverter and power are all on the same board, in your case i pressume the inverter board is seperate board and probably the issue you need to address, you can try website Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish board for the replacement.
.
Hope this helps

Is there any way to turn on my RCA flat screen TV without a remote?

There might be a power switch on the front panel.

if the remote does not work, the replacement batteries could be defective or installed incorrectly.

The "light" on the front of the remote emits infra-red signals so you are unlikely to be able to see anything.

My Mitsubishi projection TV will not produce audio or video

Hi,
Two things are involved to cause that problem, tv remote control and remote sensor in tv.
Upon verification of remote working, it would be confirm that remote sensor in tv is defective and need to be replaced.
Remote control sends infra red light signal to tv and we can not see that light with naked-eye, so need digital camera or cell phone camera to see it by watching remote front through camera, press any keys on remote, if you see infra red light is blinking in remote front that means remote is working and remote sensor in tv will be replaced.
If no light blinking on pressing remote buttons confirm that this remote is defective and buy new remote.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

TV doesn't turn on. The red light is but no controls on the panel or the remote work.

Check the voltage at BP610 pin 1.It should be 5 volts. If it is low check or replace CP616.It is a 470 MFD 16 V capacitor. On my set it measured only 125 MFD.

Power light stays red and nothing comes on on my RCA L37WD12 Flat Screen what is the problem? I guess it's getting power because of the red power light, but TV is not turning on! Please HELP

I just had my Vizio which blew up and the power light stayed on and you could not turn it off on the tv you had to unplug it and then when you plug it back in same thing all over again, no picture at all , My TV made a loud pop before this happened, paid 1700 for TV and repairs were 900, bought new TV instead, never buy a Visio, there customer service totally sucks, you get a warranty and they try to screw you with an old piece of junk refurbished TV, they tried anyway, after 2 months they finally gave me my money back and I bought a totally awesome, SAMSUMG, THE WAY TO GO!! It sounds like the same deal and if it is a Visio just do a google search and see how many people it has happened to that own a visio..steve
