I ran the logiclean cycle on the oven and nearing the end it beeped and now has the message of "E1 - F5". How can I fix it? The oven door is still locked.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F5-E1 indicates an issue with the door latch. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the door latch/switch. If they are not working fine you’ll have to replace the part that has gone bad. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

I have a electric whirlpool self cleaning oven, after the cleaning process the door is still locked. It's beeping and error message E1 F5

Assuming the door is still locked after cooling, then either the door switch is bad or the wiring from the control panel to the door switch has a problem. First disconnect the power from the oven. Then check the wiring and connectors (from the control to the switch and back). If those are fine, you need to replace the door switch. After replacing the switch or fixing any bad wiring/connections, reconnect the oven to power. Press and hold any key on the panel for at least one minute to clear the error. You should see F2 on the LCD panel. Press Cancel to clear the error then check to see if any new error (or the old one) message occurs. (Usually a new error message will come up within a minute.)

Which model Whirlpool oven do you have? If you add a comment with the model number, I may be able to provide a parts list and diagram of the unit.

I hope this helps.

Slef clean message E1 F5

Hi,

You have one or two possibilities here, one is your control board is going out. The second is that the Latch to the door, or switch is failing causing the clean door message.
The cheapest fix would be to inspect the door latch and switch to make sure it is making solid contact.

A POSITIVE RATING WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIABLE.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

E1 F5 Error on Whirlpool Accubake Oven

The lock latch is located directly in the center upper portion of the door. It is a hook shaped latch that lock by turning downward. This lock gets stuck in this position which causes the e1 f5 error code. Locate the latch through the vent holes in the upper front of the oven door. Insert flat headed srew driver into vent hole and gently push latch up to a horizontal position & simply open door. Once unlocked, push cancel on the control panel. This will clear the error code and resolve the issue.
