When exterior breaker panel was replaced, my Frigidaire dishwasher (model FDB989GFC2) was accidently wired to 2 breakers and briefly took a 200v load. It started, then immediately showed a Power Failure code and shut off. The wiring has since been corrected but the dishwasher now shows no signs of life. Is it terminal or can replcement parts solve the problem?

Thanks for the quick responseThe breaker is definitely reset so power is going to the unit. I didn't notice where you mentioned the Thermal Overload Protector. Might that not have been opened due to the excess voltage? If, so, do you know if this particular model has an automatic reset feature or a manual reset is required?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. You’ll need to check the following things--

1. Fuse (blown or tripped).
2. Check the wire fasteners at dishwasher junction box.
3. Electronic control board.
4. Motor (inoperative, check resistances).
5. Door switch (open contacts).
6. Door latch not making contact with door switch.
7. Touch pad circuit defective.
8. No indicator lamps illuminate when START or OPTIONS is depressed.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

We have a Frigidaire dishwasher 2 years only now it’s tripping the fuse in our circuit breaker. Wiring is intact can’t figure out what else could be doing it

It is possible that you have a weak circuit breaker. Use an extension cord and run it from a different outlet on a different breaker.

Frigidaire dishwasher no power

Hello Tammy, I appreciate your post!
From my understanding your Frigidaire dishwasher has no power. You may need to review your circuit breaker located inside of your home to assure that the breaker has not been flipped. If the breaker is operating properly it could be a possible issue with your control panel or wiring. I would recommend having a professional out to your home to assure a proper diagnosis has been completed on your dishwasher. I hope that this information is helpful to your dishwasher repair. -Matt

I have a Frigidaire dishwasher model FFBD2406 that will not reset after each load so I can start a new load. I first have to turn the breaker off then on again to get it to start.

Thank you for your inquiry, friend!

From what you have described your Frigidaire dishwasher, FFBD2406, does not reset after each load and you have to switch it off at the breaker in order to start your next wash. This could be a possible issue with your control panel or wiring harness. You may want to have a technician out to perform a diagnosis this step may help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. A technician will have the appropriate tools needed for pinpointing the issue with your dishwasher. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

My Frigidaire Dishwasher Model #FFBD2411NWOA won't turn on at all. I flipped the breaker switch and also checked the disposal which is on the same breaker. That is working. The dishwasher was working

Good Afternoon Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

I understand your Frigidaire dishwasher (FFBD2411NW0A) will not start. Let's try resetting your dishwasher by flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position once again. It is necessary to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your dishwasher. Confirm that the door is securely closed and select a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, it could potentially mean a number of things: a potential wiring failure, damaged cord, faulty door latch assembly or control board. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your dishwasher to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Best!

My frigidaire dishwasher model fdb641ras1 controle lights dont light and soap despser dosent open but machean runs

Hi glennjorgens - Try resetting the dishwasher by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and if it proves to be ineffective contact a professional to move forward accurately. Unit could possibly be experiencing a communication issue with the control panel or wiring failure which would need further diagnosing.

Need an schematic for model fdb435rfr

A paper brochure with schematics, parts list and service diagnostics was inserted behind the control panel at the factory in mine. To get it out, shut off power at the breaker box; lay the door down horizontally; unscrew the two screws (now facing up) in the door that hold the ends of the control panel to the interior edge of the door. (You may also have to unscrew any along the top edge.) The control panel will drop away from the exterior of the door. The paperwork will be under a clip near the controls.

My dishwasher wont power on. No clue what to do

check breakers first if they are not tripped then its a wiring problem under the panel at bottom BE CAREFUL! turn breaker off take bottom panel off, look for 3 wires going into a silver cover box, open that and check wires with a non-contact voltage tester if wires have no power then check make sure that the wires are connected with wirenuts thats probably where the problem is b careful and good luck

Do not open the soap dispenser

More than likely the wax motor that opens teh dispenser has burnt out. Dispenser needs to be replaced, part number is 154542103. Just turn power off at breaker, remove 2 screws that hold front panel on, and you'll see the 6 screws that hold the dispenser in place.
