Same problem! Tried resetting it by turning off the circuit breaker, but that did not work.

I have the same problem ... have tried cleaning keypad, holding START button, pushing on all the other buttons, and killing the power to the stove. Nothing has worked. Even tried preheating oven, and it started preheating, then stopped after less than 60 seconds and went back to stuck key mode.

This is the second time this has happened to us. First time, range was only 1 month old. Kitchenaid replaced it, no charge. This time it's about 3 years old and I think we're out of luck.

Same error code looks like lots of crumbs behind conntrol panel. I want to peel it off and replace it myself. Can that be done or do I have to pay a repair person?

  • peakay Dec 16, 2008

Same problem here...happens after housecleaners work on the stove. We unhooked the power for an hour the first time it happened and it recovered. This time it did not.

Turn off the breaker and wait for 5 minutes. the follow these steps:
--> After turn the breaker back on, go to the range and press "OFF", "OFF", "START", then click on the "clock set", there is a message on the display saying that do you want to delete the error, at this time press on the "START" again. And wait for a while until the everything on the screen disappear except the clock time. Hope this will fix yours. It fixed mine.

Have the same problem. Took apart the stove and disconnected the keypad by peeling it off the oven. The keypad has kind of like a tongue that comes from it and plugs into a control board. The commands you press go through this tongue and then send a message to the oven. I took off the entire keypad to see if I could take off some pressure from whatever button was stuck. It didn't work. The off button seemed to be controlling the temperature and my keypad kept saying BAKE. The part number for the keypad is 9756595ES. It's close to $130 I think. I am going to replace it. If it doesn't work, I will let you know and rip Kitchenaid a new one. I never even use the oven. It's unbelieveable. I am willing to bet that this is a defective part problem. In which case, the manufacturer should repair at "no charge'. I wonder how ranges in the market have this same problem. I wish I could find out, how many with this particular panel were sold, compared to how many have failed with this problem.
This part should have been designed better, in my opinion.

This seems to be a common problem on this model. A call to KitchenAid service suggested that the keypad may have failed, and to schedule a service call.

I know how aggravating that is!! I have the same problem. . .over and over. I believe they have replaced the brane at least twice and were out that first year several times messing with it, until they finally replaced the brane. THEN, it did it the next year and I had to pay for the servcie call and they replaced the brane under the warranty. It has gone "off" at least 2 or 3 times since, but after a day to a few days, once over a week, it came back on when I hit off button. It would not do that at the first. NOW, it is doing it again, only being very stubborn and I NEED MY STOVE THIS WEEK. . have lotz of company EVERY DAY. What a bummer. Cannot depend on the stupid thing. Am going to try the breaker off for 5 min etc as suggested below here when my husband can shut off the breaker for me. I would NEVER have another KITCHEN AID!! anything.

I had these problem's after boiling water spilled onto my range and in behind the control touchpad, causing a "STUCK KEY" and other messages to be displayed.

After shutting off the circuit breakers, I removed the side panels and disassembled the touchpad from the front console.

You may have grime on the circuit ribbon plastic, clean this off. Then I let the touchpad bake in the sun all day to dry out.

I re-installed it and it worked.

I have a Whirlpool Gold Range (18 months old). I was running the self-clean cycle (3 time I run it since I've had it). Half-way through, it starts beeping AND this message appears: Stuck Key F2E0

What does it mean? Sears brushed me off saying the 1 year warranty is up. We can help you out by sending a technician and charging to tell me what the code means! Why do I keep buying from Sears!

Assistance would be appreciated.

Kitchenaid electric range yker1201 with f2e0 error

F2-EO indicatwes a shorted key pad. Electronic parts on ranges sometimes have warranty for five years (may only cover parts) so check your owners manual to see what your warranty is then call for service. It is a good idea to save reciepts of repair for future reference if neccessary.

Error code F2E0 stuck key

I had the same problem 1 week after I had the range installed. Called Sears (where I bought it) and they had a tech come out. Tech took a look and said there was nothing they could do, that the entire range needed to be replaced. So the replacement just arrived yesterday, they installed it and the fan inside the oven has been running non-stop ever since. Time to call Sears again. So frustrating. Are these ranges lemons??
