Ok The soap dispenser is controlled by a wax plunger. This is mounted in the door on the back of the dispenser. Remove the door panel and gain access to the wax motor. Two wires connected to a brown colored small rectangular box about 1 inch long. You must check this wax plunger for resistance and short circuits. This item is a naughty little thing and can blow up your electronic. for mine I would get a new wax plunger and fit it straight away. They dont cost that much. After this if the fault still counts down to 1 tell me if the motor is still running at the end of the cycle. It very well might be. If this is so the electronic may be faulty. You can menil me on fixitap@gmail.com for further assistance.
Also check to see if the cycle works normally on the rinse . That is a cycle whit no heat. Just the pre rinse.

When I press the start button, Bosch dishwasher (model SHY56A 05UC) just keep running the motor pumping the water out of dishwasher, irrespective of: 1) the wash cycle it is on, 2) whether the door is...

what is happenig i believe and has happened to me 2 times is that the water level float that is on the left side of dishwasher is stuck.

Either remove side panel and flick lever or pull dishwasher out and tap lower portion of panel and this will cause the level to move and then see hat happens

The soap dispenser fails to open at times

Hi

Bosch dishwashers (not all) use a BI-metal strip that heats up once power is applied to it. The BI-metal strip bends and allows the soap door spring to open up the dispenser. This bi-metal strip is not given full 120 volts power, the timer "shunts" the power through either the heating element ( most common ) or the motor and this gives the bi-metal strip lower than full power to work and open. Most often the bi-metal strip has lost its ability to bend properly and needs to be replaced.

Older Bosch dishwashers used a mechanical arm driven by the timer to open the dispenser = no electrical bi-metals. Newer (plastic liner) dishwashers use a wax motor to open the soap dispenser. The plunger inside the wax motor slowly moves and pushes the plunger and door open. And, if this wax motor doesn’t receive 120 volts, then it’ll not work.

Please do rate this solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

sounds like a bad solder connection on the heater relay of your control unit. more than likely you will need a new control unit. part number 266746

Soap dispenser cover won't close

It sounds like it may be stuck between cycle steps.(this sometimes happens if the washer is open during a cycle)Try and run it through one full wash cycle as it is.Then check to see if the soap door will close. If not,the lack may be broken

Soap dispencer won' t dispence soap

My Bosch intergreted dishwasher is only 3 years old. For the past year, the dishwasher dispenser refuses to open on the second cycle. We have had the repair man here 3 times, and each time he says it's fixed, but it clearly is not. Does anyone know what to do about this??
