Question about Krups FDH212 10-Cup Rice Cooker

Open Question

Beeps repeatedly when I plugged in

I have a Krups Rice cooker model FDH212
I am getting repeated beeps when I plugged in the rice cooker.
When I called Krup's customer service they wanted me send the cooker to nearest Krups service center and pay for repair and shipping.
Which is very expensive so I wanted to do it myself.
There is no troubleshooting procedures attached to the user manual.
How do I fix this.
Any help appreciated.

My Krups Rice Cooker beeps repeatedly after 5 minutes of cooking.

I have tried unplugging it and plugging it back in but, it keeps on beeping.

I have the same problem. It started beeping in the middle of cooking. Ever since as soon as I plug it in it beeps continually.

Need to find the instruction manual for Krups Rice Cooker/Steamer/Slow Cooker, Model # SERIE R02

The model number is actually FDH212. Here's the manual from Krups USA: http://www.krupsusa.com/NR/rdonlyres/B538D70F-8F15-4BB9-92CE-9E493621DC11/7356/Ricecooker_usa.pdf

Water spewing from steam vent whenever I cook rice and I have measured accurately. It is a mess!

I found a solution to the spewing around the lid and through the vent.

The other day I placed the steamer tray in the top and then the lid.

The steamer "broke up" the bubbles -- no spewing out of the pot or mess -- I mostly happened with brown rice -- but the last 2 times -- not mess!!!!! Hope this helps someone else.

Can the rice cooker be used as a crock pot?

Most crockpot recipes cannot only be made in a rice cooker, they can be made much faster. I have both but I almost never use my crockpot. Apparently the crockpot, because it cooks so much longer, makes meat, etc, more tender than a rice cooker, but I normally use mine for soups and stews, and it does a great job. Also, crockpots don't make the best rice, and it take them 2 or 3 times as long to do it, whereas rice cookers make PERFECT rice. You can also fry and sautee things with a rice cooker in a pinch, or as the first step in a recipe. And most things you can make in a pot, like those noodle packages where you just add water or milk, etc, can be made in a rice cooker even easier, since they don't need to be stirred! I got my rice cooker as a present and used it only for occasional rice the first year. Then I started getting creative and it has never let me down. If I could pick only one cooking appliance to have for the rest of my life, it would probably be either the microwave (just for pure convenience sake, and popcorn. :P) or the rice cooker.

there is a way for you to get a manual, go back to where you bought the steamer.

but to be fair, ill tell you the ratio of cooking rice. its 1:1

1 cup rice = 1 cup water.
