There is lack of airflow across the coil due to not being CLEAN. Perhaps a dirty return air filter. Could even be slightly undercharged. Either way, the evaporator is operating below the freezing point of the atmospheric humidity.

Fix it by changing return air filter, cleaning the gunk out of the coil.If its charged already then ignore charging.
some systems that have a leak in them on the suction side can actually go into a vacuum and pull in atmospheric. Also check if there is any vapor block in the system. ------------- thanks.

Unit is turned on air cond. and heat coils are also on

How can you tell the heat coils are on? Is it just the heat generated during the coolant boil and compression process? Or are you getting hot air?

Need to know how to wire the compressor contactor on a rheem rpmc-024jaz

Normally all your colors should be together, black wires on right, red wires on left. But without knowing what wire belongs where you could damage a compressor over a $20 part. Your common wire to comp goes on 1 side of line. There should be 3 wires leading to comp. The 2 large wires go to contactor and small wire to herm side of capacitor. The fan motor should have 3-4 wires. The black and white go to contactor. Black wires on the same side of line/contactor. These colors may be different depending on what you have. The line voltage wire feeding the units power will be on the entering side and all others will be on the leaving side of contactor. The control wires will go to the coil of contactor. This is a simple process for an experienced tech and shouldn't cost a lot to call someone out. Always better to be safe! Hope this helps

Have NO 24V at contactor or thermostat, RPNE-024JAZ; HAVE 248V at line in; NO high voltage at load.

Check your transformer in the inside unit and see if you are getting 24 volts out of it. If you are then check 24 volts from r to y on the the thermostat if you got it there then check and see if you have it on the contactor coil.

Good afternoon. My problem is no electricity coming at compreessor. Thanks Richard Verreault 418-948-7080

It sounds like your contactor is not pulling in. This can be caused by multiple things such as a clogged drain on the inside Air Handler Unit tripping the float switch which would cause the compressor to stay off, a bad thermostat, improper refrigerant charge (low pressure or high pressure switch located in the outside condensing unit), tripped breaker on your line voltage side feeding your condensing unit, bad fuses in disconnect, or possibly a bad contactor (burnt points, bugs in the points, or shorted magnetic coil.)

Nordyne air cond Model E2eb-017HB got wet, shorted out

sounds like you experienced an ice over. this can destroy the compressor. if contactor is humming the call for cooling is present but the breaker poping is cause for concern. possibly needs new compressor.

Schematic missing - need to know which cond unit

Black wire goes to contactor. On your capacitor the brown wire goes on one side the blue and the other wire from your contactor goes on the other sideof the capacitor. Russ

Unit will not come on at all has voltage to unit and to contactor?

Sounds like you lost the refrigerant charge. Low pressure switch will not let compressor run. Look for oil around the condenser tubes. If you find it, this is probably the leak source.

I HAVE A 10 YR OLD CARRIER HEAT PUMP.THE CONTACTOR POINTS WERE REPLACED TWO MONTHS AGO ,THEY ORIGINAL POINTS WERE PITTED AND NOT OPENING CAUSING COND. UNIT TO KEEP RUNNING.THE NEW CONTACTOR POINTS ARE...

First, check your compressor wires connections for loose or coroded, then clean them (file or sand them or just add oil to the ends connectors and go with a higher 24-va contactor instead of a 40-va, maybe a 80va 24-volt contactor.

Intertherm

Check the board for a cold soldered joint. If you can move the spade that the line connects to it should be re-soldered. A cold soldered joint can give intermittent service because it can make contact at one time then loose contact by even a change in temperature around it.
