Remove Misfeed B Fusing Unit Error- After 1 page is printed

We are getting this paper jam error Remove Misfeed B Fusing Unit, but I can't actually find anything jammed. Sometimes I am able to reset, and it will print one page, but the error is shown as soon as the page is output, even though no jam occurs.

Any clues?

    Hi

Can you point me in the direction of where the sensors/levers are?

Am I looking on the fusing unit itself or somewhere else?

    Cheers,

    Simon.

Getting paper jam messages in Fusing unit area even though there is no jam. First page comes out then error shown. If this is a switch or sensor problem, then I am wondering whether this is on the Fusing unit itself, or somewhere else on the printer.

Need some guidance as to where these sensors/switches are, that could report a false jam.

I have the fusing unit out on the desk, any clues as to where the roller pin is and what it looks like? I can turn the blue knob on the side of the unit, and the orange belts rotate freely.

Fuser Oil unit comes out fine, can't see any problems either side of this.

Error shows as soon as the printer is switched on now. So the fault condition is now permanent.

Error shown is Remove Misfeed B Fusing Unit. Only reset done is to switch unit off and on, close covers as stated in display panel.

Hi,

With the indulgence of pagebor,

It would seem that the "paper jam error" is common with this model. Apparently, the roller pin on the fuser unit is the culprit. The roller pin could be loose or even dislodged.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

    Hi again,

Appreciate the postback. Could check if you could separate the fuser oil unit from the fuser unit? If yes, then it would be on the left and right of fuser oil unit. Both ends has roller pin that has to fit just right with no wobble, looseness or misalignment. This document might help you in the removal (page 7).

What is the exact error or status message pls? have you done again a reset?

Thanks for your reply. Based on the error message, you are on the right track on focusing on the fuser unit. To my knowledge, the blue knob maybe turned freely as you have indicated, but the fuser oil unit should have some resistance.

Unfortunately, the only available option now is to remove/open the fuser unit again. The alternative is to replace the fuser unit assembly.

In a similar problem, it turned out that a pair of gears were not meshing together properly caused by one of them that has a crack. When tested manually, checks OK, but when under load (pulling/pushing paper) partially opens.

Just open the printer and check for any dislocation of the sensor or levers.

Fusing unit life is over or it can be the paper size problem.if you are using manual by pass tray for A3 printing then make sure machine is detecting A3 in manual by pass tray.if its OK then problem is in fusing unit.

4TH LIGHT FROM THE TOP KEEPS COMING ON LEXMARK E232

What this light sequence means that the printer has a paper jam.

When a paper jam occurs, the printer stops and the operator panel's Paper Jam light and Continue button lights come on. Press and release Continue twice quickly to display the specific secondary error paper jam light sequence.

How to clear Paper Jam

Press Continue button twice quickly to see the secondary error code.

To get the secondary error codes

When the Error light (!) and Continue button lights are both on, a secondary error has occurred.

When the Paper Jam light (4th light) and Continue button lights are both on, a paper jam secondary error has occurred.

Press and release Continue button twice quickly to display the secondary error code light sequence.

Press Continue button to resume printing once all the jammed pages are cleared from the paper path.

We recommend that you clear the entire paper path when a paper jam occurs.

To clear a paper jam:

1 If you are feeding paper from a tray, remove the tray, and then remove any jams.

2 Open the front cover and remove the print cartridge assembly.

NOTE: Do not leave the print cartridge assembly exposed to direct light for an Extended period of time. Extended light exposure can cause print quality problems.

3 Remove any jams in the area behind the print cartridge assembly.

4 Lift the flap at the front of the printer and remove any jams beneath the flap.

5 Open the rear exit and remove any jams.

6 After you have cleared the jams, reinstall the print cartridge assembly, make sure all printer covers and trays are closed, and then press Continue button to resume printing.

NOTE: The printer reprints the pages that caused the paper jam.

I have a Sharp Al-2040cs when I turn it on the misfeed indicator is blinking. I checked it there no misfeed paper or piece of paper inside. How can I fix this problem?

The MISFEED Indicator blinks when a MISFEED has occurred. Remove the misfed paper referring to the the description of MISFEED REMOVAL beginning on page 65 of the pdf Manual at:

http://files.sharpusa.com/Downloads/ForHome/HomeOffice/PrintersFaxMachines/Manuals/cop_man_AL2030_AL2040CS.pdf

When the MISFEED Indicator is blinking you should look closer at the paper feed area (see page 66 of the PDF). You may need to remove the paper tray to find any remnants of paper. If after closing the side cover the light does not stop blinking you will need to follow through as per the illustrated instructions.

Remember after removing jammed paper, you need to press the clear key to clear the MISFEED error.

If after doing all this the error signal has not cleared, power down the printer; unplug from the power supply; let rest 5 - 10 minutes; plug back i to power supply; turn printer on and see if this resolves issue.

Trust this is helpful. Please vote. :)

H5-01 indicates tha the paper sensor is defective in the fusing unit. The only way you can try to reset that one is buy turning the power off, wait 30 seconds and turn the power back on.

If the error code returns the fusing unit will have to be fixed to take care of the paper sensor.
