Question about RCA Televison & Video
Make sure everything is hooked up properly and that the speakers are turned ON in the menu. There may also be a switch on the back that switches the speakers from internal to external. Some have it, some don't. If everything is correct there, then you most likely have a bad audio output ic. Just about all sets I have worked on w/.no sound had bad audio ic's. A shop would probably get around $100 to make this repair. There have been some rca's w/ what's called the eeprom ic that had corrupted and caused them not to have sound also. It would cost about the same to change it as it would the audio ic.
