This Code relates to color gamma error in the Yellow development. Possible causes Low toner density in the Y toner,Toner supply Y mechanism problem( not supplying enough toner),Laser exposure problem, image transfer problem. My suggestion would be to ensure you have toner in the cartridge( but by this time it has depleted the developer), and you will need to replace the development unit and possibly the drum Unit. My best guess would be the development Unit.

• Disable main scan length detection
Do you have the copier feature option installed? It is most likely just a loose connection on the interface between the main printer unit and scanner section. Turn off main power (red button), and re-seat the connector.
I do not recognize either of these codes (187 or 387) as part of the Aficio 2015 error list.
If the code is displayed on the screen, physically TURN OFF the copier with the main switch (red switch), wait 10 seconds and turn it back on. If it's an erroneous error, this should reset the error code. NOTE: THE ERROR CODE MUST BE DISPLAYED FOR THIS TO WORK.
go to service program 5-810 ( sc reset) press on, turn off the machine an the turn on again. The service code should be gone, if it come back again check for a paper jammeed or wrapping the upper
