Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I have a CP2025 Laserjet and the paper curls upon exit. When I first started using the printer, there was an option for no curl and it has disappeared. The people at our help desk do not know anything about this. It is very frustrating.

Hello i m giving some tips to u it may be helpfull to u
1. Press the "Setup" button to access the Setup Menu.
2. Press the down arrow button until "Service" is displayed.
1. Press the "OK" button.
2. Press an arrow button until "Less Paper Curl" is displayed. Press the "OK" button.
3. Press an arrow button to display "ON" and press the "OK" button.

NOTE: When 'less paper curl' = ON, sets the fuser to Light media mode, or uses less heat to reduce the amount of paper curl. The 'default paper type' gets set to 'light 60-74g'. As a result of this setting, the control panel may prompt the user 'load Tray 1 with Lite Letter' when printing.
If 'less paper curl' = OFF, then 'default paper type' gets set to 'plain' again.
if ur problem not resolved after this exercise then give me ur mail id i will send some more tips...good luck

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Standard top bin full remove all paper from bin

there are four black plastic finger type actuators protruding from the exit rollers ( in the catch tray) these help push the paper down after exit from printer - in some cases where damp paper is common the curl generated by the fuser heat is enough to trip these \'Fingers\' into the position where the printer thinks the output tray is full to capacity

do you ntoice when the paper leaves the machine if there is any curling in the paper if this is the case open a new ream of fresh paper and try again

also the output tray full sensor is probably covered in dust/paper debris- removing the top cover will reveal the position of the sensor connected to the actuator arms clean and dust this to cure error ( assuming theres no damp paper)

It curls all my cardstock!

You will get alittle curl on all prints with this unit, as the paper path is curled ** paper collected from the bottom tray will travel in a semi circle to exit the unit** but if the curl is excessive then it is possible the card stock is just alittle too think for the unit or the card stock is damp, if you are in a humid location its best to store you paper and cards in a dehumidifier box

HP 3000n Laser Color Printer - Paper is curling up when it comes out of the printer. How do I stop that?

Make sure you've let the printer know what type paper you are using. In the print dialog on your PC, you must choose in the preferences area whether Plain, Photo, Glossy, Cardstock, Envelopes, etc. Such things control the pressure of the rollers in the fuser, as well as it temperature. Too hot will result in curled paper.

Also, make sure you are storing the paper properly prior to printing. It can't be too damp either, or it will curl.

Finally, if all else fails, your fuser may be overheating and need to be replaced. Hope not. If so, look for a rebuillt one online. Much cheaper than new. Good lick!

I have printed all odd # pages from a document, but my HP Laserjet 4 won't feed these pages back through to print on the blank side with even # pages. I've tried to keep the front (feeding edge) of papers...

You need to try a thicker paper, Heavier stock to double print the page. Slightly more expensive. Recycled paper typically will not work for this type of function. I had this same problem and found this was the only solution.

Paper is curled inwards when it is ejected from the printer.

Hi,

Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry. Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print. Also make sure that you have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job. Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..

Paper curl

Paper Curl. Does the paper have a curl on the trail edge? (The last part of the paper to exit the printer)

If it is the entire paper replacement of the fuser will likely resolve this.
If the paper curl is on the trail edge then replacement of the upper delivery roller should be done.

Curling

The paper is definitely your problem. I suggest you try all types of paper settings that are available on your machine. I think there is a recycled paper setting.
