Hi this is a simple one, use google search and type in the exact name of your webcam and the words Driver download...... Or go to the manufacturers website and download one, make sure that you obtain the right driver for your operating system too, XP Vista Win 7, then once downloaded simply install it and your webcam should be all ready to use.
You can download the webcam driver from the internet. Go to any good search engine like Google.com, Yahoo.com etc. You need three things to get to the right driver (1) Your Computer OS (like Windows xp, Windows Vista or Linux etc) (2)The hardware vendor of your web cam (Like Creative,ASUS etc) (3) The driver should be digitally signed by Microsoft to avoid any further problems. Extract the technical information from the above three points and render it to the search engine and then look for a good site to download. I suggest that you down load from the site of youe web cam manufacturer (Vendor).making sure that it works with your OS like Windows xp as an example.
this could be a compatibility problem. If your computer was Vista when you purchased it, than the Webcam most likely was compatible with Vista and up OS, so XP may not work for this reason. Try installing XP driver software for your webcam model. Sorry i can't be of more assistance, this is what i would do. Good luck!
please load xp again and press f 6 when you see it on the screen to load sata devices . sata softwares and drivers are required in certain computers to load windows so while loading you will be asked to load those drivers through a floppydrive, so u must have 1)sata raid drivers (according to the hard ware installed in hp.)this piece of hard ware will not allow xp to boot if you dont give its drivers through a floppy drive(during installation and setup of windows. so u must now have 1 floppy drive(usb) 2 a floppy disk with sata drivers 3)usb port to attach the usb floppy drive after loading xp you will see xp running trouble free. a easy solution is to load vists and the drivers are already there in vista cd.
boot into xp...from the RUN command type msconfig...select the BOOT tab. Remove any statements that point to Vista being on the C:\....Also, make sure the the entries for XP point to the right location.
How did you know you had a Trojan Virus that came from your cam ?
Reinstall your op using the disk that came with it ,Then always keep a backup .
I've been online for over 10 years without a virus ,I will tell you like I tell my brother
stop going to the porn sites (the best of virus makers) and you will be virus free .If you keep more then one copy of your op everything will be fine.
Sorry to tell you like this but a virus like in real life and on the web will always be there but unlike real life you can make a copy on your computer if you do it enough you lose little and not it all.
