Screen freezing and laptop auto shutdown when over heat

My Aspire laptop screen will freeze with vertical lines. Then the laptop will auto shutdown when it heats to much. As I try to diagnose for the heat. There maybe a problem with the heat sink or the fan. and also the screen I think it will be the flakes or the screen. Would that be true? What are the solutions for it.

Sounds like a bad bearing or dust accumulation in the CPU heat-sink fan. If the fan does not cool properly the CPU will overheat and shutdown or freeze the computer.

Aspire 5535 heats up and shuts down when a game is initialized. Fans clean and appears functional. Applied fresh thermal glue to heat sinks. Problem persists.

increase ur ram Scanning computer to eliminate malwares, spywares and the viruses from your laptop.
2- Repairing and cleaning Windows registry.
These two tips are found to be very helpful to fix the laptop shutdown problem. Almost all the computer users surf internet which could result in viruses attacking your system. Some of these infections are really pesky and cause the machines to shutdown randomly.
The registry errors, however, are the internal errors and can become a cause of system crashes and freezes. The registry keys shall be in good health to keep a system perfect.
When I noticed my laptop keeps shutting down everytime, I tested the Intel Software Partner, RegInOut to fix the random shutdown problem with my laptop.

White screen with black vertical hypen lines???

Hi, you should get an update for your graphics driver and the Bios update. After the updates for the driver. Do a hard reset. To do a hard reset. We need to shutdown the notebook. Remove the battery. Remove the power cord. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Do not expect the turn on. That would be weird. Actually we are trying to reset something internally. After this. Test if the issue goes away. Hope this helps!

Tv runs fine for 30-45 minutes then goes black except for bright horizontal line thru center of screen, volume stays on

This is a vertical problem. It may have a bad solder joint or it has a vertical IC or surrounding compoenents heating up and going bad, Try not to have the horizonal line on for to long, it can burn the screen if left on very long. If you have some electronic experience you could get some freeze spray and wait for the set to mess up and spray the freeze around the vertical section and locate the part that is heating up. Be careful because there is HIGH VOLTAGE is this area. Hope this is helpful.

I have a aspire 4520 acer laptop that sometimes freezes up with a white screen and what looks like an equal sign types of lines going through it. kind of in a pattern from one corner to another. it also...

Hi

the freezes and lines is most likely the video card failing, or overheating, or damage from overheating.

Its a common problem with the acer aspires, what can you do about it? Vacuum the dust out form the fan or use canned air to blow it out, there will be a lot of it.

Try one of those cooling pads that goes under it.

depending on how bad the problem is with the video card which in most of these laptops can't be user replaced. Got warranty? It might help or might not help at all. That is generally caused by poor cooling and dust in the fan heat sinks so the air doesn't flow and too much heat being generated by the board and its components eventually damaging the video card or the motherboard.

About the 2nd problem, its mainly caused because of your hand touching the touch-pad try a news paper on top of the touch pad or a usb keyboard and see if that problem goes away.

Problem with my Laptop !

I think you have 2 problem.
1.If you can use after a few minutes ls it freeze up then it can be the software problem or otherwise CPU overheat in your laptop
2.the vertical line on the monitor can cause by loose LCD connector inside you monitor or your LCD have problem.Incase LCD have problem then no other choice is to change it.
Incase when you say after you restart and your LCD work fine then its not a LCD problem, its a loose connector problem..
What I recommend is to clear this problem fast cos it can spoil your LCD monitor.
takecare.
