Question about ASUS A6U Notebook
The main fault that is associated with the power is there is no back up of the battery or the adapter. So first of all you need to check on the battery voltage of your laptoop, remove the back cover and take out the battery, If at all your find the battery voltage to read fine as marked on the cover. Now connect the adapter to the mains outlet and check the voltage at the pin end. If there is no voltage at the pin then you must open the adapter to find is there is a wire faulty that has caused this break. If not the jack at the end could be defective and must be rreplaced. however if you get the voltage then all is well. now connect the adaptor to the laptop and put in the battery to the set. Mesure the voltage on the battery terminal. Now try to press the power to ON and see. If there is no signs of the laptop coming to life then we have a serious case of a possible failure of the hardware. It is important that you must be familiar witht eh opening of the laptop to open and check for a visible break or damage on the power supply side. If not I am afraid the job had to looked into by a technician who can advise on the estimated cost before you can decide. But then you have an idea of what to expect from now on. hope it turns to be some thing minor. Good day
