SOURCE: no signal

The output video needs to be enabled on the laptop. Normally this connector is not active. There should be a function key that has the outline of a CRT screen on it. Using the ctrl key and that key at the same time will toggel the output video connector on/off. If that does not resolve the problem, please update this with your exact setup including cables.
Thanks,
Dan

The lamp cover has a disconnect feature such that the power wont be activated that it won't allow power while the cover is off. Sometimes the piece of metal gets bent out of place.Try removing the cover for the lamp, and bending the little piece of metal forward.

It worked (in my case) when fiddling with one such piece, dumped in the store, when I was the Hardware *** Network administrator of a govt. sponsored university. I just opened it & then when I could'nt find out Why ??, so just cleaned it and observed this small metallic tag which simply looked like a clip, so I assumed it's a clamp to hold the lamp cover in place when in use.Tried rubbing it to clean it in case its still has enough pliability, by fiddling with with my insulated tester *** screwdriver, without unplugging the power chord !!!!! It zapped my eyes as the lamp got activated wile looking closely at it(a bad habit of mine, just a bit more curious than any cat)....sodeep

When i open my camera it shows write protected from after i connected to my computer. can i fix it my self.If ican then how?\

Write protected means the you can only see but you can't add anything to it, in this case it would be your SD card.
Try checking your memory card, there should be a kind of switch on the side, if there is, it must be on "Lock", just slide it up or down, depends on where the lock section is. Try it again.
If it doesn't work, then you must go to the camera's properties, and unblock from here, also make sure the read and write boxes are checked. Goo dluck and hope it works.

'no signal input'

D-Sub is usually used for input from a computer, make sure the TV's input source is set to Analogue or Digital (or DTV) as it seems to be set to accept input from a computer, if you do not have a computer connected, then this is why it is complaining of no signal. It will not automatically defer to normal TV without being told to do so, have a look in the manual, or guess around the remote control to change the source of the signal.

No signal message on your LCD monitor screen means that your monitor is not receiving any signal from your PC graphic card. This problem "no signal" have nothing to do with the drivers installations. Have you check whether your graphic card is faulty or your cable connection properly connected/secured? ie VGA (D-sub). As far as I know there are no parallel connectors for PC Monitor connectors only, VGA(D-sub), DVI or HDMI cable interface.

Try to connect your monitor to another PC, just to test whether the LCD monitor is functional.

Hope it helps.

Saying no d,sub signal

Ok, Can you confirm that there is connection to the source PC?

If so if that connection is Blue usually means analog (and your Monitor was switched to Digital) Hit the 2 Button to switch back.

If the cable is white, it should be connected to DVI and should be connected to the Digital.

If there is, do we have another monitor to swap out to test from the pc?

As a whole this issue comes down to the PC is not sending a signal to the monitor (either do to a crash on the PC side, or a severed cable..

DOes someone know what type of lead fits into the back of a daewoo hl711a lcd monitor, and can anyone reccomend a lead that would connect it to an hdmi sourse.

Some digging around google suggests that this screen only has a D-Sub type connector on it, further digging suggests that there isn't anything available that would allow you to connect to an hdmi source.

If the source has any other connections available you may have more luck with them.

Sub doesnt do anything while plugged in ( Sunfire mk II)

Some subwoofers can sense the signal on their input and will only start when there's enough signal for long enough time for them to turn on the amp.

Try seting the "subwoofer signal out" on your reciever a bit higher, see if it does the trick, if not, try it with some other source (e.g. an mp3 or CD/DVD player) plugged directly into the subwoofer. If it still doesn't work, there's some other problem with your sub (bad connection inside sub, sub amplifier problems, maybe there's another fuse for the speaker itself, try to check it out).

If it works well with an alternate signal source, the problem might be either in reciever or the signal cable that you use, but could also be something else.

good luck

Please work through the following steps to troubleshoot your no power problem with a ViewSonic Monitor:

Troubleshooting Power Issues:
  • Disconnect and securely reconnect the Power Cable. Then retry the Power Switch.
  • Try using another Power Cable. Most Computers use a similar power cable.
  • Check the power source using another electrical device (like a radio) to make sure the power source is supplying sufficient voltage.
  • If the monitor is plugged into a power strip or extension cord, try connecting to a dedicated wall outlet.
  • If you are using a Thinpanel series LCD (e.g. VP191b, VP201b, etc) check the power switch next to the AC input port on the monitor and make sure it is ON.
  • If you are using an LCD TV, note that some models have a main power switch on the back side – confirm it is on the ON position.
  • If using a remote control, make sure the battery is properly installed.
If the LED is on, but there is no video, use the following links:
  • LCD or CRT monitors : Orange/Amber LED - monitor is receiving power, but no video signal received:
    • Verify that the computer is turned on. You can test this by pressing the Num Lock key on your keyboard once or twice. If the Num Lock light does not turn on/off, then the computer is not working.
    • Make sure the video cable supplied with the panel is tightly secured to the video card in the computer.
    • Check video cable to ensure all pins are straight. If the cable is detachable, try a different video cable
    • If your monitor is connected to a Laptop or Notebook computer, the video output on your laptop may be disabled. Consult your laptop’s user manual or contact the laptop manufacturer for assistance on enabling this feature.
    • Connect the monitor to a different computer system (if available) to see if the issue is with the video card or the monitor. Check the user's guide to see if any special conversion connector or adapter is required for proper signal continuity between the video card and the LCD.
    Red LED:
    • If the LED is Red and the monitor has no video (no picture), please try the display with another system.
Green LED - A signal is detected from the video source:
    • Check the video cable to verify that the cable connection is good and the pins are not bent or broken.
  • LCD TVs
If you have tried the above steps and the problem persists, please Contact Technical Support at ViewSonic.

I hope this will allow you to resolve this issue. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take a moment to kindly rate this post....thanks!

Sub-woofer does not turn itself on in 'Auto' mode (signal driven)

For the "auto on" problem.

These will sound very basic, please go with it.

On your signal source, make sure you have the sub set to on.
If you can adjust the output setting on your source, turn this up.
Adjust the volume setting on the sub lower to mach the volume of the main speakers.
You may need to make these adjustments a few times to get them working.

On the hum and noise problem

Check your power outlet for the sub, make sure the polarity is correct. I have found this to not always be right. Also what is on that same circuit. Things like the fridge can cause a lot of noise on the power line. Next check your connecting cables, are they of good quality? Are they running next to anything that may cause interference? Also check you connections to the signal source. Cable and dishes are known for ground problems.
