Blank screen after boot splash screen

Hi.

After you see the press Del and F12 message repeatedly tap the F8 key, see if that gets to the advanced boot menu, if it does select "Repair my Computer" from the list, and then follow the prompts. Have your Win 7 disk ready just in case you need it.

Let me know how you get on and good luck!!

PC boots up then screen goes blank

You are asking for trouble by placing programs that Windows uses on the other drive. You are better off using the 1 TB drive as a system drive. Sounds like your OS is corrupted.

IBM netvista boots to bios then goes blank screen

See if your machine will boot up into safe mode. If it does then go into system restore and choose a restore point when your machine was last working. Let it restore and see if it goes back into windows properly. If it doesn't then you'll need to wipe out the hard drive and reinstall windows.

Won't boot - brief blue screen

Press F8 while booting but before it goes into SAFE mode select "Temporarily disable restart." Now you should be able to read the Blue Screen. If this doesn't work it's likely you have the GenericFX virus and you'll need to repair the operating system.

Sony VGC-LS35E BLANK SCREEN

Do you mean after windows has booted you have a blank screen?
Boot into windows in safe mode (by pressing F8) during the boot up process.
When booted go into device manager and remove any video drivers under display adapters, if it asks to delete the files as well answer yes.
Reboot into normal mode and let windows find the driver for you.

Hi i have a p5s800-vm mother board when i power up it comes up with the log and pick tab or del then the screen goes blank and windows does not start need help

So you get past the BIOS screen then your screen goes blank?

Can you press F8 just before Windows would load to see if the Windows boot menu comes up.

I would also check to see that you have no devices plugged into the USB ports. Printers/mice/keyboards are okay, but not USB drives, memory sticks. Some computers want to try to boot off of these devices and it can cause unexpected hangs or simply no booting at all.

MONITOR GOES BLANK

Did you recently change or install a program that would affect the resolution and card output? Try booting into safe mode by holding the "shift" key during boot. From there right-click on the desktop and hit 'properties'-> 'display properties' -> 'settings' , check your resolution and drop it to 800x600 and then reboot. If everything goes back in normally make sure you have the right windows drivers for your video card. You can also check the driver version and settings while you're in safe mode. Sometimes the windows update drivers can act screwy and I would recommend getting them directly from your card manufacturer.
