Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

I have a small Honeywell safe, with the number 2009 on the front. I opened it this morning fine, but the batteries apparently died today and of course the keys are inside the safe.

The motor may have a thermal protect feature built in. Opens circuit when too hot. This is to protect motor and to prevent a fire. If you can check for lint build up around motor. Also, motor could be on it's way out.

I have a safe mark safe and it tells me batt-L and still opens fine, what dose this mean?

While you can still open it, find the batteries and change them.
If they die, you may not be able to use the safe again.

I locked my comination code in the safe can you help bar code 3907400688 4 safe is MSW3517

Hi,

Very sorry to know that you have lost the combination.

Well, the only way to get the combination is to contact Sentry and get it.

As per the company regulations, if you have registered the details of purchase and combination in their website then its very easy to recover, just send them the requisite information by clicking the link below, and they will forward you the combination.

Sentry.com

If you have not registered with them, then follow these instructions from Sentry:

First step, find the Model and Serial Number of your safe.
The Serial Number is in this packet, and is also printed on the small label beside the door hinge (outside). Send a copy of the model number and serial number of the safe, a notarized letter (last name of notary must be different than that of owner) stating you are the owner of the safe, and a check or money order for $12.00* (U.S. funds) to:
Sentry Group, Dept. 200,
882 Linden Avenue,
Rochester, NY 14625-2784 USA.
If using a credit card (Visa/Mastercard only), call 1-800-828-1438
and fax your Model and Serial number with the notarized letter
to 585-381-2940, 585-381-2940.

Next time make sure you record the combination and store it in a secure place such as a safety deposit box at your bank. Opening your safe could be a lot more fun, but never more simple!

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I have a micromark electronic safe at home but the battery is low therefore it woun't let me open the safe and i don't have the key

hi.

without the key, your options are very limited.

apart from destructive drilling, or expensive locksmith charges there may be one chance.

place a fan heater, or similar heater in front of the safe for 3-4 hours until the safe is warm to touch.
be careful not to cause a fire risk around the safe, or to overheat the safe. DO NOT leave unattended.

it will take this time for the heat to be slowly transferred to the battery compartment on th einside of the door, but when the batteries warm up, you may find they have a slight boost from the heat, and actually have enough power to open the safe.
there are no guarantees that this technique will work on your safe, as it is very dependent on the amout of life left in the batteries, but is worth a try as a last attempt before expensive drilling or locksmith charges.

good luck

I have a Chamberlain Liftmaster Professional 1/3 hp garage door opener. I'm unable to find the model number, but it was made in April 2004 and has an orange learn button. It has been working fine since...

Do you mean the numeric keypad is no longer controlling the garage door? If so, have you changed the battery for the keypad? Frequently, if the battery is low, the keypad will stop working when the door is closed but works to close an open door. On most Chamberlain garage door openers, this is a 9V battery. You may need a small Philips screw driver to open the battery compartment at the bottom of the keypad.

After changing the battery, try the learn code procedure again. I've found it easiest to have two people involved when programming the keypad to the garage door opener. One handles the Learn button and the other types in the desired code.

I hope this helps.

Gordon floor safe sku# S91006 forgot my code can we reset?

Nope. They do it that way on purpose. If you contact Gordon with serial number and proof of purchase, they may have a work around. I would not count on it, though. Farmerbear at FixYa.com

I also have a hyundai electronic safe and I've forgotten my password. I know I need to push the center S button first but that;s all I remember. I have the serical number if that'll help.

The serial number is of no use. If you could obtain the combination simply by asking on a public website then your safe would be, by definition, an unsafe... Many electronic safes come with an emergency bypass key, so check that you haven't got one ferreted away somewhere.

If you have forgotten the combination and have no bypass key then the only option is to cut or drill the safe open. You can call out a locksmith if you like, but will find that the only difference is that he/she may have better tools and safety equipment than you and will have a better idea where to cut. Some cheap, pressed steel, safes with plastic front combination panels can be opened even more easily by just hammering off the plastic bits until access can be gained to the sliding door bolt mechanism.

Sorry that this is not the answer you were hoping for, but safes are not meant to be easy to open other than by using the correct key or combination.

Cant find override key. can we open any other way CATHEDRAL ELECTRONIC SAFE 20EA

No. If you've forgotten the combination and lost the override key then all that's left is to cut the safe open with, say, an angle grinder.

Calling a locksmith out isn't an option: all they'll do is to cut it open and charge you at least £80 plus possibly the cost of a cutting disc for the service. It makes no economic sense when you can replace your safe for less than £30.

Note that as your safe is a really cheap and basic model with lots of plastic parts, you may even be able to smash it open by destroying the front of the door to access the door bolt mechanism. It's also not hardened against drilling, so you may decide to drill a pilot hole and then saw a hole into the safe.

Sorry, this may not be the answer you hoped for, but if safes were really easy to open without the keys/combination then they wouldn't be safe. Luckily yours is still very easy to open using basic household tools.

Please take a moment to rate my reply.

No hose suction with replacement bag

The Bag must be blocking the port it connects to. Remove the bag and close it up. Test it again with no bag in it. If you have suction now, the bag is blocking the port. Maybe it is the wrong type, or installed wrong.
