Question about Heating & Cooling
Hi, there are many types of White Rodgers thermostats, mechanical 1f56-444 models for heat and cooling, digital, heat-pump stats, ect. When a thermostat goes out, or there is a problem with one, its time to replace them. It is something that techs do not repair do to the circuitry, they are checked to see why they are not working properly, and if they can't be corrected by changing out the batteries or an adjustment, we replace them as the contacts where out along with the circuitry depending on the stat. It would be cheaper to buy a new one then try to repair one even if you could find a place that would even take this on to be honest with you. If you know for sure it is your stat, just replace it. Be sure to mark all wiring connections and colors that are being used on a paper diagram, and take the old one with you to get one to match or the style you like. They are priced from $20.00 on up. I hope this has been of help to you and ask that when rating me, you will be kind as I know you will.
